I agree with all the settings you set on Rekordbox. In fact the RGB waveform is more usefull that the blue one because each color represents a frequency of sound, so if you havent heard a song before it is hell of a lot helpfull to see where you get a lost of bass or snares so the frequencys dont clash with each other

That last setting was all I ever wanted to know about rekordbox. Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for this video. I did the adjustment you stated because my Serato software was still set up to the default setting.

I'm usually using Traktor but I got a Serato Pro Suite awhile back. Finally diving in with the SB3 and this video was very helpful, thanks for the video!

I still using Serato because my first DJ controller work with Serato. I found recordbox has a feature i i really appreciate which the stars rating for me to indicate the level of energy of the track. However, I intimidated by the need to reset my cue point for every tracks! Great video sir. 😊

I litterally bought a DDJ400 2 days ago (finally!) so this video really comes in handy. Also I can finally use all your other tips and video's, instead of just watching them hahah. Thanks for making all them, you will help me and others a lot! Btw, I use rekordbox since I own a Ddj400 now

Hello Carlo, Thanks for the great tutorial, those are some great tips and are very helpful. I use rekordbox because that is what came with my Pioneer DJ controller. I like it, the only thing that I don't like is the background, I prefer a lighter background because I feel that it does not bother my eyes as much as the darker background. Since you are on Pioneers good side, try to convince them to allow changes to the background in the software. Keep up the great work!

I started out using Virtual DJ and later went over to Serato DJ Pro because I eventually upgraded to a better controller and my digital DJ friends were using Serato as well. I prefer to use my vinyl equipment but it's so difficult to find real records these days. Great content Carlo! I think you forgot another DAW, what about the people who use Traxtor?

I use Vdj for it's versatility, stability and it offers quite a few features that are not included in the other main programs. So those little things can mean a lot. But even vdj have some default settings that I hate and their list of options is quite extensive.

sir sorry but you informed late 😁 i already applied those changes in my rekorbox in September 2018. surprisingly all the stuff you said are the same as i changed & the my ddj 400. **** My Extra settings : Sample plates shown when i push the sample button of dj controller. it helps in faster focus on samples & improves easier performance. # most importantly i love the layout of rekorbox dj software & the import/export feature is extremely helpful.

Visually, the vertical waveform setting feels a lot more natural to me, especially when scratching as is moves in sync with your hand movement. It also separates the left and right decks, mirroring the controller. I guess it all comes down to personal preference.

Quality video! Rekordbox is what i use.

Thx for setting tips. I went rekordbox. Found a good deal on a DDJ-400 that included the software. Plus all my friends use Serato. I wanted to try something a little different. Though this has slowed me down a little when I use their gear. I have been crutching on your videos for more detailed settings and preferences for rekordbox. Thx again for the time you spend making these videos.

I use all this settings in fact. I use rekordbox whit my rx ddj. I think that all DJ programs have strengths and weaknesses and it is a matter of adapting to what you have at the moment. Regards Carlo
