Rocky Mountain National Park! I ran a half marathon in the Rockies in June 2019, just days after a freak snowstorm closed half the national park. It was my first time hiking in the snow, in entirely new conditions, and the experience changed my life. Absolutely magical. I decided right then and there that I needed to move here, and so I did, just last month.

Crystal Caverns is BEAUTIFUL! The walk up to the cavern is sooooo scary though! Keep going a little further down to Ceadar Grove to sight see the water falls and at the end of Ceadar Grove, stop and swim 🏊‍♂️ in a beautiful swimming hole and watch people dive from a giant bolder into the water. Its a perfect place to have a picnic as well.

I LOVE this channel! What a nice Sunday surprise to watch this. Those trees were amazing and you got some amazing footage. You have such a great presence I really wish the KZread algorithm would do more for your channel. It's criminal you don't have 100's of thousands of subscribers (if not millions) when you put out such quality content that is not only entertaining to watch but also educational. Your channel has been so helpful for me personally. Last year when I was in Georgia you shared some many great places to hike in your videos I went out and did some of them and it made my time there much more enjoyable. Thanks for referencing Leave No Trace principles. As a Scout Leader, I have my Cub Scout Den recite the scouting LNT Principles every meeting. I, too, have seen some real disrespectful people in parks and trails - especially on the AT in Georgia. Some people just don't get it, and scowl if you say anything to them. Hopefully, iy will get better...

How are you Alice. This is a magnificent forest and manicured trail systems. I agree with your «common sense» comments when describing hikers behavior while out there. Some don`t get it and the pandemic attracted more of those to nature. I do not know much about California`s NP although I have spend some time in Joshua Tree NP a few years ago while in Palm Desert for a few days. Awesome scenery. Sequoia NP represents an identical flora and fauna that we found here in British Columbia's West Coast. Those red cedars are gigantic. Keep on hikin'!

@@AliceFordAdventures - I just turned 66, so I think my 14er days are behind me. A really fun one was Sneffels, near Ouray, CO. Beautiful wildflowers in the meadows, along with a twin waterfall, in Yankee Boy Basin on the way up. It's loose rock on the approach to the saddle, so a helmet is wise.

Welcome back. I appreciate your candor regarding the actions of others in nature. There's a pull-off along the road going up Mt. Evans where I always stop to listen to the stream since I have a memory of stopping there as a child. The bark of the aspen trees at that spot are simply destroyed from people carving their names or initials. Sad. I don't understand why people stack rocks either. Little formations here and there for no justifiable reason. Takes away from the natural beauty. Unfortunate. Hope you had a good trip.

Thanks for the comment Jason. Yes rock piles may be worth talking about soon too as that is what parks actually use for trail markers. Carving names is really ignorant
