The lighting on the black and orange one in the thumbnail makes it look like a dark wine colored Seqtrak. That would be a great color option for this synth.

Re: External MIDI keyboard control. Apparently there is a problem (mid-May 2024) in that each drum is on it’s own separate MIDI channel. I really don’t get Yamaha’s logic on this one. Except maybe for some dubious internal routing choices. They were MIDI pioneers and now they do this! I have an advanced MIDI (DIN cable based) patch bay/processor, the MIDITEMP MT16X, that can split/distribute the input signal to the channels of your choice. I’m sure there are newer (and cheaper) alternatives. There is also a slight problem reading the grey text on the black buttons, (I like Black) when they're not lit up. Just thought this was good to know, before pulling the trigger on this one, Otherwise I'm, so far, very happy with my unit. ........................................................................... A few hours later. Working in the garden, it struck me: Why not make a MIDI-channel-splitter-rerouter-for-the Yamaha-Seqtrack. Small box, no power needed, like the Anatek Pocket Pedals. I would buy one😎 Any takers?

I'd like to find a lighted pad, kinda like a computer gaming desk pad that has RGB lights, but that has lights underneath the entire seqtrak, Would look cool.

Can someone help to understand if the seqtrak midi input is a Midi Type A or Midi Type B? Because I've tried both, neither work. It only works with the included midi adaptor that comes with the seqtrak.

2:22 "3 Synth Engines" = AWM2, DX FM, Sampling? = "Advanced Wave Memory"? So is that synthesis or sample playback?

The main problem of the device is the inability to switch projects or turn on song mode without stopping the sequencer. It's a cool sketchbook with quality sound, but you won't be able to play a full set on it.

Unless they update the firmware in the future. You never know what May come along.

You can’t load your own maples in if you’re using an iPad or iPhone or android for that matter..You need lap or desktop

Where can I download the Yamaha original demo projects ?? I 've delete the original demo project in Seqtrack I ve try to re-install the app, but nothing.

You can reset your unit and then they're back...

@@MauroMarcenaro And you can backup eacht project in the app to get them back. And you can also backup the demo projects, so you can easily get them back without a full reset.

Don't waste your money. Its trash.
