This Sequencer has more advanced features than the stock Reason Transport Sequencer! .....My soul is screaming for further development of Reasons own Sequencer, because it really needs a modern overhaul, to contain easily reachable Tools within the interface on-screen, to allow for unlimited midi information editing and formatting. Ability to Shrink and Group Tracks at will. And Straightening or Conforming Midi Notes to Scale without reaching for the Position Number Window. And with a snap tool that aligns the front and back of notes at user request, simply and professionally!.... Maybe you guys can set them on the right path...! :) Nik

That's cool! Like to see how it interacts with Quad Note Generator. UPDATE Messing around with Quad Notes into this. Then playing through Euclidean or Note Echo. Sounds fantastic. I'd never have come up with the riff alone.

@@roboticbeancreative I take my medicines and i don't notice it anymore :). I really like this RE. If you are planning future updates, i'd like to suggest three features: 1) SELECT/EDIT Switch - Double clicks and Ctrl+Clicks are annoying. I propose an additional switch to altern "select mode" and "edit mode". SELECT: Act as now EDIT: Click Mouse 1 on empty space = Add Note Pressed Mouse 1 = Toggle status on/off on cells (Like drawing in the matrix pattern) Ctrl+Pressed Mouse 1 = Add Note and Extend (Like now) Click Mouse 1 on note = Remove Note 2) Zoom - I'd like to see only one octave at once 3) Fold Notes by scale - I'd like to see only the notes in a specific scale Good Luck for your REs and have a nice day!

We're glad you like it! 🙂 The music for this video was made by our friend Jimmy Svensson, jimmysvensson.bandcamp.com/ It's his own creation, we asked him to come up with something "synth-wavy" somewhat reminiscent of Stranger Things.

@@roboticbeancreative Yeah I almost guessed that. It is one thing to be tight with Reason sequencer, but midi clock can cause some rack extensions to trip up. Actually Stepnote Recorder 2 works well in both situations. I really like that RE and thanks for making these step sequencer devices.

@@marshallsmith1366 Yes, I guess Step's sync code is sloppy enough to accept a clock that jitters a little bit. Our players try to be sample accurate, though, so they might be a little more touchy about those things. :D

this is like hundred times better than that crappy matrix sequencer, lol - and you know why, because I dont have to manually program everything with mouse like in Matrix but I can actually play the melody/sequence on my midi keyboard in realtime

Why wouldn't they include scale filtering within the player ? Why the need to add another player like scales and chords. I mean poly sequencer and Kompulsion have it.

Different companies make these players . Scales and cords comes stock and all players are able to interact with each other. Why incorporate a feature that comes free? People like different things for a vastly varying reasons.

Ambitious but would've been nice if it was Drum-Programming friendly with a "repeat" mode for hats like Prop's "Drum Sequencer". The only reason I'm not using Prop's player is because it is too limiting with only 16 steps instead of 32 or 64. Reason is still way behind for modern Future and Trap Beats...frustrating.

Can someone tell me what is the point of this device when there's already a sequencer and there's already an arpeggiator built into the program this is just another way for them to waste money

The most important difference is probably that this device has step recording, and quick and unique way to edit the timing afterwards. Also, it has the different playback modes, automation of pattern lengths, Auto Reset, etc.
