At the end of stacking in the report, what does "failure" mean during the composing step?

awesome. I just took some meteor shots last week and tried to use sequator but I cant get it to look right. All blurred. I am going to try some milky way shots tomorrow. So perfect timing for your awesome video. Thank you for making it

Thanks Maurice! Did you try to check off "selective"? You may also benefit from selecting "accumulation". Also, deep sky stacker has a comet mode that may be useful. Good luck, clear skies!

Hi there, thanks! I have two videos on that topic. This one explains guiding and discusses guide telescopes: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKdh3KumfpTHpso.html and this video shows how to connect everything and how to use software to start guiding: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kXekms6QY7W1d6Q.html

@@AstroForumSpace oh sorry, I thought the video is just about the Autoguiding camera. Another funny thing today: I Show my wife your channel Video and say to her Look another nerdy person like me. Normally she say to me, ya Great and goes aweay. But this time she say (after looking at you Pullover ..just the big writing) what a lovely Person. He love his wife. Then I zoomed in on the text, Show her and said yes, she also lets him buy astronomical things. you should have seen her face😂😂😂😂👍greatz from Germany 😂😂😂

Probably a format issue? Check what kind of files you have, perhaps sequator doesn't recognise them.

Hi Wido - any idea why my images upload to Sequator look grey and dark with no detail. They are raw images with no editing, but they do not resemble what I can see in Lightroom.

Hi Sarah, what happens if you stack them in Sequator?

  • @sarahjanereilly9335

@@AstroForumSpace Hi there. When I stacked the raw files they still came out grey and dark. However, I have resolved the problem. In trawling the net, I learned that it was necessary to convert the raw (CR3) files to DNG, which I did via Lightroom. The files then uploaded to Sequator in the way I would have expected. So, an extra step needed for anyone with a Canon R family camera. I believe the relevant processor (Digic 8)may also be used in some newer Canon DSLR cameras such as the 90D. Hope this helps other users.
