I'm turning 50 in December of 2021. Same age as Seo Taiji. I was a freshment in college the year Seo Taiji first appeared on T.V. I remember clearly how his few years as Seo Taiji and Boy changed Korea. I can testify that he is truly a legend of K-pop. And I still listen to his songs time to time.

Its just that ive seen a lot that once people are over 25 everyone acts like they are old and its bugging me because not even people who are 50 can be considered old in my opinion. Ofc I your case in terms of interactions I do understand how you could say that a person who is 23 is old.

Maya Jayne no it's just that she's into BTS and not them like I know those boy are litteraly iconic and the beginning of kpop but it really ain't that deep Lot of people listen to rap but don't know the history of it I know it's better to know to history behind it but it's not that deep You should be happy that the person at least tried to listen to the original song

They were legends of kpop but now BTS are legends too. So no harm in knowing Seo Taiji nd boys because a junior artist who you love performed this with him.

I'll be honest, the first time I heard this, I didn't like it at all and I preferred BTS' cover. But I kept coming back to see this original - and now I finally appreciate it as OG K-pop. Sure, it isn't like today, but their voices are so unique together to create a type of harmony that doesn't exist today. The tune is catchy and their performance just oozes charisma. They are fucking kings, and I'm so glad that Seo Taiji decided to release that cover and hold a concert because we all can appreciate the song that started it all.

guys...you don't know how legendary this is. Seo Taiji and Boys really changed the game for the entire korean music industry. I'm a huge IKON / Team B stan and when they covered this song through their dance, that's when I first found out about Seo Taiji. I'm late on that. But damn....even though their rapping obviously needs work - it's nothing compared to what artists can do today - their music overall was monumental. I'm really into this song and the lyrics are actually really cool. I've always kinda been an old school hip hop person rather than the new stuff nowadays that uses a lot of trap elements within their music. I will always have Coolio and Wu Tang Clan in my heart. Fort Minor too...sadly they're inactive nowadays. But Korean music has transformed so quickly in such a short amount of time. It's quite amazing.
