Super result as Gymkhana smashed the ball around the park in the first fixture. I would have called in Scotland Yard after Horley’s Angus Fraser was ´robbed’ of that caught behind. What a bowling performance from Ben and a super take from Nathan🏏👍

It was such a great result especially restricting their bonus points so heavily! Rumours are they heard it on the ISS. Ben was on another level thus day just super!

Top bowling performance from the guys there & always nice to hammer a team where their opener doesn’t walk after nicking the ball behind & the keeper runs down the wicket like an absolute goon! Good win & hopefully the momentum can keep swinging in the right direction. It looks as though the loss of the Remfry fella to Eastbourne hasn’t effected the team at all. Where’s his brother too, has he gone as well?

Thanks very much and yes it is nice to secure a solid victory after situations like that. We do hope that it gives us a bit of momentum and we string a few victories together. No it hasn't too much however he was going to be our week in week out opener which has caused a slight issue in trying to find someone to fill that role. Sam is a semi professional footballer and is under contract so as football season started he has had to be present at games. He's back this weekend as the opposition have cancelled

Not at all, being a Horley (ex) "player" when you see the events of that game it is frustrating but its the heat of competition. I had a lovely chat with the Gymkhana players afterwards and they were very humble and pleasant, couldn't knock them at all

you guys are awesome. i follow 3 sides yourself. sanderstead and three bridges. any chance you will play against either side at some point ? we are out of lock down now but please keep it coming i sit in the pub and we all talk about your games. its really appreciated love the way you play your cricket

Haha that's excellent... you absolute legend! We will hopefully play Sanderstead again in the double header for a pre season friendly next year. we played them this year and had 2 good games although we came off second best in both, we did massively underperform in both mind you! We probably wont play TBCC... a bit out of our league it would be a waste of time. I'm pleased you are out of lockdown and you can return to normality a bit that's great news. Knowing we have a bunch of chaps chatting about our games in the pub in Australia is kind of crazy haha! No problem at all, pleased you are enjoying it

TBCC 1st Xi would be too good for us. They are playing at the very top of Sussex (much higher league) and although we have a few very good players it would probably not be much of a contest. I took no offence don't worry

Nice revenge for Horley Andy, and a great team effort, backing up Ben Davies great bowling spell, followed by superb batting, firstly from Guy Derham, and then Nathan and Phil. Didnt rate Gymkana this time around. Too much slogging, and playing across the line. Reckon if you beat the 2nd placed team at present, promotion could be on the cards, but not sure if you are playing them soon, or home or away...Great work you do on here Andy, promoting Horley CC. Have missed though the pre match chat with Charlie Robbins, and a few after match interviews wouldnt go amiss...not complaining though mate ok

It was a great game to win and could have been huge for the league too. Ben was superb on this day (as he is most days to be fair) It was almost "the perfect" team performance. We are certainly looking at promotion, could well be on the cards as is maybe winning the league with both being in such close competition. We play 2nd place in a few weeks at home. I have just been a bit slow getting to games recently to chat with Chaz so its my fault but ill get back on it. I will try to get a few more players in-front of the camera pre or post match.

@@HorleyCricketClubTV Andy reckon if you do, your subscriber numbers will really increase. All time consuming though. The viewers like to feel part of the scene at village cricket. You dont have to film all your games though as that really is time consuming with job and family etc. Some of the other clubs only film their league games and include then interviews or get to knows with some players. Just an idea, as your league games are superbly filmed and the commentary is excellent

It is time consuming and will either make the videos much longer and attracting less people or take away from match content so its a balance im working on trying to find the best way to go about it while staying consistent. I do film some Sunday village stuff but with the busy schedule of league and slam its hard to get it all edited etc. It will most likely come after the season finishes and see us off into winter a bit

I'm sorry but the opener has to walk heard it here in Poole 😂

Not many people walk when you have official umpires. It's their job to make the decisions. If it was a player umpire then turn around and walk off.

Haha, it was quite obvious there was a noise and it certainly sounded wooden. You would like to think regardless of level if you knick a ball that you walk, its just good sportsmanship which sets a good tone for the game

Is the dk cup going to be filmed

No I most likely will not film the DK Cup, it will be too much to put together and make a video out of due to so many different matches. The other problem is we are very behind on extra content anyway so it will just add to the backlog
