I like Mic B! Both sound good for different reasons. It should come down to which one fits your voice better.

Just bought the MK4 on discount - I actually like the sound of the NT1 better. I guess I can adjust it via EQ - I also heard that the NT1 also is one of the quieter mics and doesn't pick up that much room noise (bought it for my vocalist friend). I might have to swap lol

@@KappaDaKappa MK4 is very good. You probably don’t need the NT1. Hard to recommend a mic. Mic, voice/vocals, room and application are all a factor. Also, your comment about the NT1 being one of the quieter mics is true but not because it picks up less rom noise, not true. It’s because the mic itself produces less self noise.

@@KappaDaKappa actually nt1 is more sensitive and pick up more room noise than mk4. Mk4 picks up less reverb room noise check podcastage review.

B is just a tad warmer.....I'll guess that it's the Sennheiser. I've heard that the NT1-A is a bit brighter than the NT1....

Yes u r right Trish Ma'am. Rode NT1-A is a bright mic and not only i have used it personally but many have reviewd it as a very bright mic. I am quite surprised as how Senhieser Mk4 is more Brighter than Rode!!! I never expected this!!!

@@vishwajeetbabbar7622 Honestly, I think the NT1a is still a little brighter when you compare the upper frequencies.. The NT1a has a boost in the lower frequency so our ears are hearing that it makes the overall mic sound deeper/warmer. Hope that makes sense.

How about the MK4 vs Beyer M90? Both mics sound about the same to me.

I know you probably get these questions all the time and it's boring, but could you recommend me a mic, I'm a beginner at building my own studio..I have a scarlet, midi, DAW(cubase)... I just need headphones and a mic I'm into experimental hip hop with strings, slow and fast with classical sounds, some singing, a bit deeper voice , raspy/husky not very resonant; my budget would be 300-350$, I do see a lot of recommendations for NT1, but I was just wondering if you know of anything new, better, at the same price range, since you compared a lot of mics I would trust your opinion and I really appreciate your time! thanks!

My first grout is the NT1. But if you have a deeper, dark vocal then maybe the Lewit 440 would fit your voice. It’s a brighter mic. Also, do a search for the King Bee II. The At 4040 is another one. Search some of these on KZread and you find some comparisons. Thanks for watching!

Sibilance and esses is more controled on senheiser mk4 it has a silky smooth top end character. Rode nt1a top end sounds plasticy ang digital. I'd rather go with good sounding mic than a good looking mic but not satisfied me

A is better ...mk4 is one of the best mics out same company diseghn u87i ..it sits more musical and center in the mix and gives that radio sound due to the fact of the type k capsule and the hand made transformer ...

Listening on high-end headphones, microphone A sounds far better. Silky smooth and balanced.

Microphone B - it sounds better to me as it had more bass. The low end was much better and i prefer ir over mic A. I think Mic B is MK4 and Mic A is Rode Nt1A as it has boost in higher frequency!!

The rode NT 1a is more bass sounding mic but you like it you can easily fix it with an eq on the mk4. I find for Vocal recording is the MK4 better cause you have an clean response what the real sounding looks like. But for this prices you cant go wrong with the Rode Mic.
