It is interesting like back in K1 days they had no idea how calf kicks are effective. So they were just chopping thighs.. 10-15 low kicks on the quadriceps and nothing was happening. Now they throw 5 hard calf kicks right below the knee and the fighter already has problems moving properly.. :) So exciting to watch fighting evolution in real time..

Aren't calf kicks more of a mma technique (the lower on the leg the harder to catch)? In kickboxing (not this match tho) low kicks are blocked more often, aiming for the calf seems like a potential way to get injured. Interested in your thought on this!

@@fredthegreat745 Yes they started kicking really low calf kick, because they are hard to catch, but they also really quickly realized how damaging that kick is. Because it is not kick to the muscle, but to the nerves that are exposed in that area.. That's why they can't even control their foot after couple of really hard calf kicks.. If K1 guys had this knowledge. They would use this type of low kick all the time trust me.. Because not just due to that damage it does, but also it is much easier to kick that low calf kick, than regular low kick to the thigh..

You dont know what you are talking about lol, calf kicks are almost unusable in k1/kickboxing/muay thaï due to the stances making them so easy to check. It's an mma bro thing, probably better if you sticked to it instead of disrespecting all time greats

Schilt needs to fight some one that is as big as he is. All they guys he fights are little when it comes to other fight classes. They can't even reach the guys face to even have a chance to knock him out. Boring fights to watch to be honest. David fighting Goliath without a sling.

Виталий Близ I'm just saying Jerome deserves to be shown a bit more in the most important fights of his career. semmy won 4 times against Jerome i agree but semmy didn't rock the k-1 like Jlb, Peter, Ernesto and sam greco. Semmy has won the grand prix several times but is not a fighter who deserves everyone else's success(semmy is a good fighter)

Sammy schilt même Rico verhovoen sont des types adorable . Sammy et ben seddik ont beaucoup de mérite car leurs tailles est un désavantage après 2 rounds car il est difficile d irriguer le cerveau d une personne qui fait plus de 2,05 voir plus . Je me suis toujours demandé pourquoi ne font ils pas le poirier entre les rounds pendant 40 secondes pour renvoyer un afflux d oxygène vers le haut du corps ,la tête et le cœur si possible
