The Fashion Citizen I really enjoy your vlogs. It would be great to see you guys use reusable bags when grocery shopping and thrifting. They are more sustainable, environmentally- friendly, and hold a lot without breaking can plastic bags. ❤️

If you need time to settle yourself and rehabilitate your mental health, and maybe that means no vlogs/less vids, I would be more than happy to wait longer to see you guys on YT if that means you are healthy and happy

Oh, little girl, I'm so sorry to hear your struggling with panic attacks. My daughter is 14 and is struggling with them also. As a mother, your instinct is to fix things and it's very hard when your child doesn't know what is triggering them. Thank you for being so brave in speaking out about it. And if you find anything that helps you, please share. Sending you much love.

I've been watching you guys for years but am just one of those weirdos that never comments! Stephanie I'm struggling with the same thing. I've had panic attacks and anxiety since I was 12 but have always been able to deal with it myself until recently. I've noticed that if I cut out caffeine and watch my sugar intake that it helps a lot. I know there are many many other deep rooted issues that cause anxiety but it is something that I feel I can at least control.

definitely, i stopped drinking coffe and my panick attacks went pretty much away, i'm just dealing with another mental issues but a few months ago i drinked a coffee and instantly got a panick attack, i recommend trying this out. Now i just drink it once in a while ALSO when you feel like one episode is coming drink some tea or hot water with lemon and mint, it helps you calm.

Agree that cutting out caffeine entirely helps heaps with anxiety. I try not to touch coffee at all, and very diluted tea (like putting the tea bag in for 20 seconds). Definitely try it!

As a person who used to have panic attacks I can tell you what worked for me was therapy to find out what was causing them. I also took medication for a short time I feel that therapy helped to manage it. While medication helped shut my brain off since I felt like it was always going could not even sleep honestly and spent the day asleep 😴 since I couldn't sleep at night. Of course it's different for everyone just have to find what works for you. I wish that you get better and realize what it triggering these panic attacks.

I really appreciate that you spoke about your anxiety in this vlog. Recently I've been having panic attacks out of nowhere and I'm not sure where they're coming from or how to stop them, and it has me completely stumped. My ears perked up when I heard you say you had two in one day because just the other day I did as well and I had felt totally isolated and weird about it. So thank you for talking about your experience with this. It makes me feel like I'm not alone in this and makes me feel normal again. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO REAL GIRL. YOU'VE GOT THIS AND WILL FIGURE THIS OUT. YOU ARE SUPPORTED AND APPRECIATED!

Wishing you the best!

Hey Stef! I have the same opinion about medicating instead of treating the root issues. My panic attacks have greatly subsided as a result of intense therapy and counseling to get to the real reason my brain was reacting in a flight or fight way to everyday situations. It turned out that there were so many unresolved issues from my past that my brain was trying to process that sometimes it was just too much. It took rest, self reflection, and professional assistance to get better. But, it does get better! Love you and your channel💕💕💕💕

i also used to struggle with a progressive amount of anxiety. for me it was interesting because i also wouldnt always know my triggers, and obviously doesnt help that your immediate response is to put these attacks in a negative light which is so easily done. once going to a psychologist, it became pretty obvious that if youre the type to supress even the smallest of issues, it can build up. i learnt that by not giving myself the time to register my feelings properly, whether that be actual instances or just mood in general, i would have overwelming anxiety out of no where. this in long run was me not letting myself sit still and practise mindfullness (not big on meditating but still worth a shot) acknowledging every feeling every thought and properly letting have its own space to stretch out and no be so consuming. its crazy but ive found that even just a good time alone to literally LITERALLY cry was the only way i could get rid of tented up sadness or worry or anxiety. even for me it was combination or good and bad thoughts that even overwhelmed me if i didnt properly engage and let myself properly deal with the emotions. its all very bizarre and its not like im a cryig mess every two seconds, if anything its a quiet late night moment to myself or an afternoon to yourself. i found after learning this my attacks were a lot less and generally if i start feeling anxious its because i havent processed something properly. anywho i hope you get results, theres always a way and its not forever!

I struggle with anxiety too, what helps me is aromatherapy. I always make sure to have candles lit in my room and all around my house. That eases my nerves. Also having someone hug me! For panic attacks, try meditating! I use the app simple habit and meditation (all free on the app store!) and honestly, it helped me so much with my anxiety. Whenever I get panic attacks, I open the app and do one of the guided exercises they have and it really is a life saver!

Steph, I have been watching you guys forever like literally since the thrift hauls outside of the house lol and I appreciate you and Mel so much. When I was in a very dark place in high school and college, I watched your videos and they pushed me to get out of the house and thrift and make videos. This might sound silly to some but it was what I loved doing and I needed the push to leave my dark place for a few hours and enjoy myself. You guys were there for me then with out even knowing it and now I want to be there for you! I know panic attacks can be so hard to go through and not knowing where they are coming from can be the most frustrating thing but know that I am here for you and sending you all of the positivity and strength I can from LA! Keep being the fabulous and strong girls we all love!

My cousin suffers from panic attacks and black outs. She has figured out she cant smoke weed because that triggers it or she can be in certain places because it triggers her. So your trigger can be from a word to an event. But I'm glad you're taking initiative and taking care of your mental health. I personally don't like meds even if they do work I feel it's just a way for the company's to make money. I'm doing my masters in psychology and I love CBT! Wish you nothing but the best!

I'm glad to hear Steph being so open about her mental health. So many people are ashamed to talk about it. Never be afraid to talk about your issues. There are so many people who can completely relate. I really hope you find a happy medium to help you with your panic attacks. You don't need medicine. Unless that is what you feel works best for you, I would say to avoid taking pills. I had some issues with depression a year ago and hated the way the pills I was taking made me feel. People, my therapist, told me not to just stop taking them cold turkey. I still did, and I didn't see anything serious happen to me. Always remember, you have a choice of what works best for you. 😎❤👍🏼

Hey Steph! I recently found out about technique for anxiety I had never heard of before but it really helps me and my boyfriend whenever we are struggling. When you feel a panic attack coming on identity and look at 3 things you can see. Then, identify and touch 3 things. It sounds so simple but it's crazy how much it helps! Also playing calm music that I listen to a lot helps bring me back to reality. Hope that helps!

I really hope you (Steph) find the right solution to reduce your panic attacks. In the past year my anxiety has worsen and I would get panic/anxiety attacks more than usual. I did get medication to just have and even the thought that I have this little thing that could help has actually helped me even if I don't end up taking anything. Honestly tho the best thing that has helped me was going to yoga classes regularly. I don't wanna be that person that's like, do yoga it's great, but seriously do yoga, it's great. It is much more rare that I have an attack and my anxiety in general has reduced greatly.

Steph I hope you're doing okay. Mental health is so important and I guess our mind has a very weird/messed up way in telling us we're okay sometimes . Recently I get every emotion possible hit me at once it feels a little bearable knowing I'm not the only one going threw it too. We're okay, we just gotta keep telling ourselves. I've actually started to get into music more and it calms me down. Also maybe not the way you want to go but I actually got a medical marijuana card and started to smoke. Medicines wasn't for me I got so much more depressed with it. But I know everyone is different, but it's worth giving everything a shot as long as it makes you feel better. Sending all my good vibes to you and Melissa because it's so hard to watch the person you care about the most go threw something like this and you end up feeling a little helpless but as long as you got each other you two can get threw anything. ily girls💖💖

You are definitely not alone Steph. I've been having panic attacks frequently the past few weeks "almost a month now". I had to resign from my job because I almost fainted at work and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. I've been staying indoors and laying around most days which does not help. I can totally relate to what you're going through. I'm having a really bad time with my anxiety, I'm actually going to see a doctor tomorrow to talk about this. I don't want to go through medication either. Fortunately, I know my triggers so I had know what to look out for. However, it is becoming an issue to trying to control my thoughts when I'm at that stage. Hope you can tell us more about this! :)

Have you tracked your panic attacks with your monthly cycle. My anxiety always gets bad the same time every month so I realized it has a lot to do with my hormonal changes.

Steph, best of luck on finding a solution for your anxiety. I was seeing a therapist and taking lexapro for mine and it was working okay. I no longer see a therapist like I used to because I cannot afford the sessions, but I've been surviving. I felt like seeing a therapist a few times a month forced me to constantly think about my issues anyway and put me in a deeper hole. I hope the cbt works for you. I only got to do a few sessions of it, so I could not see results.

I feel you Punky. Lately my anxiety has been getting worse. The only problem with me was that I was too afraid to say that I needed help that I just hid it.

Love the vlogs! I also had panic attacks when I was younger..they lasted about 2 years, and then just went away. I still don't know what triggered them😔 But I hope you feel better soon❣️🙏🏻

I had a panic attack in a restaurant today, it was super embarrassing, and i had to leave for a few minutes, i hope things look up, the worst thing you can do is avoid these situations, but just know your limits
