"you're fierce entertainment lad" couldnt have said it better myself. also when youre using the new camera monitor. make sure youre looking at the lens not the monitor
I’m a shop vet myself, appreciate your enthusiasm for sure. One note of advice and I’m hoping you’re open to it: if you want to be enjoying this good life for the long term, wear safety glasses my friend for everything, defend your ears for when you make awesome noise, and wear some good boots. It can all go sideways in a hurry otherwise, and that would be a shame. Good luck to you.

Yes! Please :) I used to work with a fella who lost an eye when the blade of his chop saw exploded during normal use. - I know there's a million of these kind o' stories out there, but it bears repeating. Safety gear, please and thank you. But also, these videos are a real treat. Such a pleasure to be a party to your earnest enthusiasm. Best of luck in the new year, and on. Bob
I know these blogs are a lot of work. I really appreciate you sharing this lovely content. ❤

Glad you like them! thanks for watching
I'm a retired carpenter and I love watching and hearing the sounds of woodworking
I'm quarter Irish but its not really ever come up in my life. I watched a load of your videos last night and today I've been talking all day in a southern Irish accent, even thinking in Irish! Hahaha - Addictive! :D

Check out Eire workshop brilliant irish wood worker
pro photog here: for even lighting when working on hand tools and detail work, you might want to check out the arched table lighting kits used by many artists & minature painters. if you put two together in an arched X you get almost perfect even lighting from every angle. there are loads of videos on how to diy your own out of LED straps and easily available parts or you can just buy a premade one. hope this helps
Great stuff as always Eoin, keep the vlogs coming. Congrats on the sponsorship - I've been interested in the Parkside table saw myself, so I'd be very interested in a review if they ever sent one your way!

I bought the scheppach one when lidl had it, seems pretty good actually but it is very noisy (universal motor). The fence on mine was also a tiny bit off so I shimmed it square with some stainless steel foil - a side of a drinks can would also work I'd say as it wasn't off by much. Overall nice clean cuts and the table is cast aluminium so it's sturdy enough too for my uses. Hope this helps!
God , Eoin you would make a great politician you have the gift of the gab 😁😄
Not much of a carpenter or craftsman myself, but I enjoy listening to people talk about things they're passionate about and you sounding like you're having a good time doing what inspires happiness. For that my day has improved
Just when KZread was turning pure shite, your channel saves it. Love your vids and the daily blogs are fantastic. Cheers from Co. Down 🍻🍻
I have been watching your videos for a while now and they are amazing

Love the cork accent. Your content is interesting and the accent tops it off lol. Good man😂
'relatively sterile cardboard' amazing haha😂
Love your channel, energy and work!! Please take care of your ears🙏
I hope your content dosnt change too much now you have a sponsor
The irish-ness of this is overwhelming.
Always a blessing to see you pop up Eoin! Keep up the work and I hope you settle into your new workshop space comfortably.
Awck that was nice of the timber yard man.
I love your shop but a wood stove whode not be to bad in the winter love your videos
Just an idea, but a top-down camera jig might help show off the detail work you do from a new interesting angle.
I can vouch for getting a toyota high ace they are great work vans, Im a carpenter by trade and used one for many years and had no issues. :)
Create a sliding barn door This way you don’t have to swing open the door or put the door swing the opposite way Beautiful shop
Great video once more! But I do have to ask: why aren’t the door hinges on the left side instead of right? Currently while walking up the stairs you have to walk across the door then open it, if the hinges where on the other side it would seem easier?
loving these wee updates
My favorite way to finish on the lathe is to grab some of the saw dust in your hands and squeeze the wood with it while its spinning. Makes it shiney and smooth. Almost burns it but doesnt discolour it
I was once watching a contractor's channel here in Canada, and he calls that chip board that you use for the door "beaver puke". He hates the stuff, the impact it has on the environment; the way it is made. I laughed for a while though at the name "beaver puke"
Those tools looked amazing
you definitely need a coat rack now its big coat season.
Relatively safe???😂 I love what you doing my friend keep it up!
Oh my gosh I'm So in love with that lathe!!!! I've never seen how things were turned before ! It's so beautiful!!!! I want one!! It's the same sort of mesmerising as watching someone turn on the pottery wheel 🎉❤ I want to do it so much!!! It'll be wonderful for making handles and table , chair legs etc. You could make cutlery hehe - or a chess set!
If you don't want to fork out for a van, look at getting a light utility trailer. You could move lumber when you need to and don't have to drive around in a van all time time when you don't need one.
I personally would install a carbon monoxide or combustiblegas detector. Mostly because of some potential freak accident involving the propane line going bad or getting cut and accidentally leaking. Having a bunch of propane gas in the air is definitely not exactly ideal in a workplace setting i feel
2:49 Try using a cheese slicer like the one we use here in Norway, instead of having to spread the butter you can just apply a thin sheet of it all at once.
love the vlog format Eoin. Keep it up. I am currently rebuilding and relocating my shop as well. Project buddies!!!!! (P.S. buy a few replacement windows if you are going to set your lathe up right in front of it. -don't ask me how i know this)

That laithe would turn out some lovely Bodhran tippers
That Parkside lathe looks like a wonderful piece of equipment. I wouldn't give that back, that deserves an extended test run.
Congratulations on the hard work paying off
Parkside is brilliant..I used to get them for my labourers but then realised that they were outlasting and outperforming the expensive stuff in my kit.
Bloody good vlogs mate really enjoy your content, keep at it, you got the stuff to go far. If ya ever in Australia I’m good for a Pint or two 🤙
Looks great! Having your own shop is such a dream of mine. Granted, I am no longer a carpenter by trade. One small note, during your introduction of the lathe, it looked like you were watching the monitor above the camera. It was clear your eyes were looking above. Something to keep an eye out for if it bugs you. Cheers! Enjoy the drinking.
It's none of my business but I think if you advertised in the right way, you could sell your hand made tools for a very good price. Hand made and signed. Love from the USA.
I wonder how much warmer you could make things if you just insulated the ceiling? Those stone walls must have some thermal mass once they get warmed up, but any heat will go straight out the roof.
i love your pyjamas!
You can try some cheap waxed paper as a light diffuser. I'd imagine the light panels don't get too hot.
I love your videos from New York
Congrats on the sponsor eoin. And good job with it too. Keep up the vlogs please
Window needs a blind to regulate the change in Sunshine ! good lad !
Now that’s a lot of air fresheners
Awesome Sauce
Great content, keep it up!
Your car must smell amazing with all them air fresheners mate
buy some greaseproof baking paper to diffuse the lighting, easy and cheaper than actual diffusers for lights.loving this channel, keep up the great work.
It literally looks like you bought a new blacksmith shop from the 1200s
Oh how I wish we had those old stone buildings here in Canada instead of the stick framed ones we've got. The shop is looking incredible, cozy and warm. I'd be tempted to put up a hammock hook and a wood stove and forego paying rent 😂
Can’t wait for the next instalment.👍
I came for the woodworking I stay for the accent . Lol .
Late comment but your new monitor should have a Focus Peaking feature you might have to turn on. This will light up the parts of the image in sharp focus (in the monitor only) and it's pretty easy to see from a distance. Good chance you already knew that but just in case, it's a good tool for your situation.
I dont know how i got here but im not complaining
Your channel has inspired and helped me a lot. Your videos have educated me about a few of the woodworking tools I needed to start becoming a luthier (making stringed instruments). Learning about chisels, planers, etc. Big thanks, you've been a useful resource.
Really enjoy this stuff. Good to see it
Always a grand video🙌
The new camera and lighting setup looks fantastic. Excited for all your longer form content.
We make toasted sandwichs in a cast iron skillet, some how the taste the best especially on a wet day
Keep the vlogs up they great 👍🏼
That sandwich is how me Gramma would make sandwiches. So Irish. She would put butter down on bread then mayonnaise because she knew we preferred the mayonnaise on our sandwiches. Too much fat and calories for my taste buds. 😂😂
Love to see the progress! 😊
Take credit with your new lathe and be sure to protect yourself. Face shield and partical mask. My face shield has saved me more than once. Please, don't turn without one.
The door is hinged on the wrong side lol😂🎉
Love that you're part of the same ad campaign as Arnold Schwarzenegger 😮
This is just awesome stuff. Good work.
Workshop is looking mint! 😊
I love seeing the move into the new workshop!
I have the same lathe. However, I don't use it too often. Keep up the good the good.
You are a fine Irish lad You are
I love it❤ It looks so easy when he does a handel
You should get your self a old stove for the winter.
Any old matte shower curtain liner, perfect, large, cheap light diffuser. Cheers
These blogs are exceptional. Please keep it up!
Man if you ever need a hand or just a giggle id love to help. ex royal marine, fully qualified carpenter living off grid. id love to have a chat and beaver away
I need an adze handle made, it would be great if it were an Eoin Reardon custom handle :)
I always enjoy seeing this guy; how absurdly entertaining it is, consistently too. cheers from chicago

Glad to hear it!
I love it! its bigger than mine. love the new lights too. large softboxes are nice but they are large for diffusion. I have good diffused overhead light and adding the side light (just not in front of a window) is a nice addition. I plan on putting a few spotty lights over the tables for work filming.
Fair play man
Loving your videos, hopefully you get the couch cheap from local charity shops 👍
I wonder what kind of wood would make the best butter holder for the counter top?
dream space for a workshop
Remember to look at the camera lens not the screen. Great job!
You're in the Trades.. as we say in the States.. Never met a carpenter who didnt have a job not finished..at his house, same with Electricians never knew 1. Who didnt have 1 light hanging from a open wire .. yours is that door..!! LOL..
