I also get rid of Protools years ago, and now with Nuendo combined with the SSL controllers, my workflow skyrocket!

Its tough to mix eco systems. I went through all scenarios had the SSL stuff also. Love SSL they make incredible stuff. BUT when I landed on 2 S1 with cheap tablets as meters and then the Avid Dock with a good tablet (for response time) it turned out to be the best for me. I think the Avid Control Software on the tablet when you can view global track view, quick navigation, etc was the game changer for me. I almost do not even touch the mouse anymore. Its like a cheap S6 with almost similar functionality. Great video thanks for posting it.

I was looking at the S1s for a while and was really close to getting them but I just didn’t want the iPads/tablets in the way of my main monitor. I had the avid dock with the s3 and the reach for the dock was to much. However, if I had the dock and the s1 it would’ve been much better. Honestly I’ve been much faster with the ssl mainly due to the channel strip and the focus for plugins. Eucon is definitely much deeper and with pro tools is a no brainer but the fact that I dabble in other daws the ssl is more suitable to me at this time. Thanks for commenting. @@RPMusicStudios Agree. The downside is the height of the tablets and it does block things. In reality there is no perfect controller YET. I would like to see a controller with large colored meters right next to the faders (kinda like the S3 but better). The meters on the S1 and UC8 are ok but still small. The UC8 is great but I think SSL will come out with a better one (maybe Eucon) as we have seen with the UF1 how amazing the newer stuff is. Also the price is great. Like you I am working with what works well for me now but always open to something better. The nice thing about SSL is its 19" units and they mate perfectly which each other, Avid needs to work on this. This is why videos like yours are great they open conversation and share ideas.

You’ve convinced me to work with this kind of a set up! SSL looks great. I would have all the same shortcuts you used as well!

Great video, I'm looking forward to adding the UF1 to my UF8 and UC1 setup as well!

Dope! It’s a great set up. When ssl first released the uf8 I thought it would be a major step back because of mackie/hui but they really made it work in the best implementation to date.

@@RPMusicStudios I too was hesitant because of the integration and cost of admission to the dance, but I got a killer deal on the UF1 and UC1 that I couldn't refuse. I am able to mix soooo much faster even with the learning curve. Definitely mixing with my ears more instead of the screen. I haven't mastered all of the functions yet but I'm all in. I want the UF8 next. Can't wait for your follow up video... New Subscriber 😊

I have them also and am never going back. You should try on the UF8 the second layer and set it to plug-in view. In that mode the screens on the UF8 change and you can see more information from the channel strip plugin

Looks like a great control mini Ssl console setup. Another quality option to the avid s3, dock and S1. I already have the S3/dock setup so I am not changing anytime soon. I also have SSL Xrack and Xdesk along with the SSL 4 vari preamp. Kind of a mini SSL console set up..plenty of SSL analog modules and the SSL bus compressor… I’l be getting a warm audio WA2a and a RND N EWTON to round out my project home rig…SSL should have came out with these products earlier… better late than never I guess.

WARNING: This comment inspired this response, but I went WAY further in the process. I assume that you already know everything I said, given that you actually OWN all of this. However, I kind of went crazy in case any of it Is useful to you, but also to anyone else that may find this. To that point, I’ll probably copy and paste it to the main thread to make it more findable. Thanks for the inspiration! Avid S3 + Dock, along with SSX X-Desk + X-Rack into an SSL Bus-Comp, that is definitely a winning Hybrid Combination. Other than the footprint and price tag there’s nothing “Mini” about it, that’s the same Huge SSL Superanalogue foundation that you’d get from a AWS or Duality. Let me add a couple of thoughts: A) You also mentioned the SSL “4 vari preamp” which I assume you mean the 4-channel SSL VHD rack unit. If so, I have something you may want to consider as a Massive expansion for $100, depending upon your ITB/OTB workflow. I’m guessing that you’re familiar with Passive Summing (as the X-Desk has been wrongly derided as an expensive summing box from the beginning). If not, then for simplicity sake it let’s you sum 16 balanced channels down to 2. The box is basically a passive summing network made up of simple “colorless” resistors, and No Active components, which a) makes it transparent, but b) means that it loses about 45dB in the process. However, that’s part of the magic, because you can Make Up the gain using any Microphone Preamplifiers you have laying around doing nothing since you’re no longer recording you’re Mixing. Passive Summing Boxes allow you to turn your Microphone Preamplifiers into Line Summing Amplifiers, functionality to make up the gain, but artistically to Add whatever “Color” to this new “Bus” that you want using and Gain-Staging whatever “Character Pres” you have at your disposal. (Let me inject this opinion: I think of Passive Summing Boxes the same as XLR cables, or maybe Pads. They’re just passive colorless utility tools that should be in Every analog studio. If I need to ‘interconnect’ an output to an input, I grab an XLR, and then I set the levels. If I want to run 2 or 8 outputs into 1 input, I grab a summing box….and then I set levels.) In your very SSL case, you have a 4-Channel VHD, AND an X-Desk. As you know, the X-Desk looks like an 8x2 mixer, but it’s a pseudo-inline console so has dual input channels and allows you to steal the Cue Bus, feed it with the 8 Alt inputs, then Sum the Cue to Mix, that’s 16. Then it has 2 Stereo Returns, that’s 20. So that 8x2 is really a 20x2. Let’s make it a 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Console. Even better, let’s identify 4 distinct “Group Busses” or paths to the Mix Bus, and tons of SSL serial and parallel routing options. (48-Channels -> 4-Group Busses -> Stereo Mix Bus) Continued……

Which brings us to the other thing that I hope you already have in place or an easy path to expansion: Patchbays! I would strongly suggest a pair of 96-point TT Patchbays to make this the ultimate SSL Hybrid setup. On one bay I would have ALL 48-Inputs across the bottom row, fed half-normalled by whatever you normally want going where on the top row. On the other bay, all of the Insertion Points from the X-Desk (channels and mix bus), as well as ALL Outboard I/O probably including X-Rack. (Actually I would do what I call a double-stack, which puts 48 Interface OUTs across the top of Bay 1 (A), HN to chosen Outboard INs across the bottom of Bay 1 (B). Then the top of Bay 2 (C) is the OUTs of those chosen Outboard, HN to the 48 INs of your newly expanded SSL Superanalogue Console (D). ALLRIGHTTTTT…. B) (stop laughing). Are you using the SSL Channel Strip and Bus Compressor Plugins? Are you aware that they upgraded the sound of them a few years ago (the old Duende and V1 versions didn’t sound nearly as good as the Softube, BX, or UA versions), they’re fantastic now. Are you aware of SSL360? And the fact that you don’t Need the hardware in order to use the Plugins or 360? Believe it or not, I already wrote a long ass comment on this video thread in which I detailed my setup, but for this and you, I want to strongly suggest you check out the SSL Software Ecosystem (if you haven’t). And while they’ve upgraded my Duende with Every new version For Free, SSL has also run sales of the Channel Strip and Bus Compressor a few different times for only $49. So yeah…. Imagine this with me if you will: An Avid S3 and Dock driving Pro Tools, 16-Channels and a Master/Focus Section, near perfect. An SSL X-Desk expanded with an SSL VHD and Passive Summing Boxes into a 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Console. Now add SSL Channel Strip plugins to every channel (and Bus Compressors plugins where appropriate). Dedicate a Monitor just to SSL360. If you don’t know, SSL360 communicates with each of the SSL plugins in your DAW. Within the DAW you can use each plugin just like any other. (With the S3 and Dock you can map Plugin to the Hardware as you like and develop a ‘muscle memory’ where your hands know where to go without your eyes following a cursor on screen. Basically using the Avid Control Surfaces rather than the SSL Control Surfaces.) However, the Pro Tools Mixer window will only show you the individual windows you have open. The SSL360 killer app is the Plugin-Mixer, which basically turns your Monitor into a Virtual SSL Console, both visually and in terms of control. The thing that’s hard to explain until you do it and wrap your head around it, is that working on Acutal Analog Consoles, you can glance over at Many Channel Strips at one, and use your paws to adjust different mix elements against each other, in a way that No Mouse Cursor ever can. This is a Hand-Eye coordination thing that SSL360 returned to our mixing lives. So, back to the imagination: Picture a desk with room for the S3/Dock in the middle and Mastering style rack bays within reach to the sides, housing a rack mounted X-Desk in one, and Interfaces, Patchbays, and 2 Folcroms in the other. Above the S3 is a Monitor dedicated to SSL360, with a view of the entire mix (Possibly shared with the Pro Tools Mixer window switching between the two.) And above that another monitor with the Edit Window. Obviously this is insanely long for a KZread comment, and yet still doesn’t spell out everything, but in the end…. I can see the ultimate 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Hybrid Console with full Pro Tools DAW Control, and everything within reach of my Ears, Eyes, and Hands.

Nice video for sure and great info... I do have the SSL UC1 and love it. I am toying with buying the UF1, mainly for the transport controls and jog/shuttle wheel as I hate using a mouse to navigate the play head, especially when you're trying to make fine movements on the timeline. I am using Studio One with the StudioLive 32S mixer w/33 Moving faders, so I am on the fence whether to keep the StudioLive or sell it and get 4 UF8 units (I really got spoiled having the 33 moving faders) so I may just keep the Presonus Digital mixer for fader control. The SSL units are really excellent units, in my opinion, and the 360 software is great also. @@RPMusicStudios That's good news. I do like the SSL UF8 models. Buying 4 of them would be expensive, so perhaps I could get by with less, as you mentioned, if I decide to go that route. For now, being as I have Studio One (rather than ProTools) the Presonus StudioLive 32s mixer really is great option to control the Studio One software because it is designed to to be a control surface, so in my case I may just stick with the Presonus mixer and use my UC1 and buy a UF1. That might be a good compromise for my particular situation...Thanks! Phil

@@avationmusic yes, you have direct interaction with the EQ, the filters and the dynamics section but also you can use 360 to control your DAWs own mixer such as the channel fader, the sends and panning. I'm hoping SSL add the ability to turn automation on directly from 360 in an update.

Awesome video. Very informative. I am looking for good reasons to switch to this exact setup. I allready own a subscription for the ssl plugins. And I like it very much. I am just afraid to switch workflow as I am using muscle memory a lot. I don’t have to think now on how to do something. If that makes any sense 😅

Hi! Awesome video! I especially liked when you showed how the soft keys can work on the UF8. (Solo latch vs cancelling the previous one, group suspend, etc really make the workflow much faster!) One question, though: do you know if the UF8's pot can be put into "focus" mode, or that is only available on the UF1? (I wouldn't want to buy the full setup now, maybe the UF8 first would be enough :)) Thank you very much!

@@RPMusicStudios yes they do. I’m slowly building up the muscle memory. I do think the uf8 especially has a lot of missed opportunities but I think it’s being held back by the mackie control. I use Cubase and it works really well but there’s a lot for buttons that don’t get used. It’s understandable I guess being a niche expensive product but Cubase does offer the ability to use Java script now, so they could make it the perfect controller, but I guess Cubase is only a fraction of their user base. I got my uf8 second hand in perfect condition from eBay for £600 which was a steal.

in reaper, the uf8 banks to any daw track. Weird... - no idea wy it don't bank to daw clicked track on the other daws. Cool video. I was also upset that the UF1 doesn't change to selected uf8 track or daw clicked track. I suppose that will be in a future ssl 360 update.Its pretty awesome though!!!! :)

@@chris-rb7bm clicking on tracks in Luna works but selection on uf8 doesn’t effect uf1 behavior. I think SSL will continue to improve upon these controllers. The 360 app really pushed the boundaries of mackie control!

Great Video, keep ‘em coming! As far as the Console 1 to Eucon to SSL360 changeovers, I have a few thoughts: A) I’ve been Console 1 from the beginning. It was literally the game changer for me, and I now have 3 controllers and all the plugins, which is part of my point: I’ve known a lot of people who invested the money but didn’t invest the time and energy. B) It also was most rejected by ProTools only users. Most other DAWs have full Console 1 integration that once you get it setup and used to Flying through a mix, it’s hard to be without. In PT however, nothing stays synchronized, at least not elegantly. In a half dozen other DAWs, it feels like a Part of the DAW mixer. C) As of a few Days ago…that now includes LUNA! Driving LUNA with full Console 1 integration is insane, especially since LUNA also has solid MCU integration, as well as Single Fader Focus mode, which basically locks a single fader MCU to Console 1 the way the UC1 and now UF1 can lock together, and chase whatever channel you have selected. D) I’ve had the SSL Channel Strip and Bus Compressor since they ran on a FireWire Duende box. SSL upgraded me to Native, and then to the Native 2 plugins of today for free, so I’ve been using them since day 1. Here’s the thing: unlike with Console 1, you don’t actually Need the SSL hardware attached to fully use the plugins or SSL360. The SSL plugins can be controlled by Any MIDI controller, which includes the Console 1 hardware in MIDI only mode. E) So here’s my main point: Everyone saw the UC1 as a Console 1 killer/replacement. Aside from them both being hardware controlled plugin systems, the plugins themselves are Not at all directly replaceable. I have All the channel strips from Softube, and SSL, as well as Universal Audio, and Brainwork’s, Lindell, Sonimus, Waves and others, and none of them are exactly the same. I also use the iZotope suite (Neutron, Nectar, Ozone and Insight), which I consider my surgical channel strip plugins (like many people use Fabfilter). With SSL you have two SSL channel strip flavors, with Console 1 you have 8 including two more SSL, Neve, API etc. But really, each of those channel strips is a chain of 6 components that can each be swapped out with hundreds of other plugins from Softube AND Universal Audio, effectively creating Thousands of channel strip possibilities. The hardware and workflow is one thing, but exchanging all of that for the limited set of SSL flavors is a seriously diminished tool box. And totally unnecessary. Because it was never an either / or, but an And / Also. I have a template that’s 64-channels -> 8-Stereo Busses -> the 2-Bus. All channels include Console 1, And SSL Channel Strip, And iZotope Neutron. (Also Hardware Inserts into an Analog Console & Patchbays, + Blue Cat Audio Patchwork turning a single channel insert into 64-Super Inserts) My point is that these are just plugins. We can use more than 1. F) I’ve been a ProTools owner since 1996, but like many people I haven’t been a ProTools Lover in decades. It’s a necessary evil for me. I’ve also long been a UAD lover, and the relationship between Console 1 and UAD is amazing for me. Shift clicking the C1 control surface into Apollo Central mode and having Tactile control over UAD Console, was another Game Changer. I consider UAD Console, Softube OSD, and SSL360 as “sidecar” applications to your main DAW, and like having an Analog Studio built around a SSL 9000K, patching in UAD Console with 1073s in the Unison slots is like tracking through a Neve BCM-10 or an API Rack. But back to ProTools, I use it and a dozen others, but I’m built around Reaper, which is unmatched in its customizability. And if you’re not a part of the Reaper Community, you probably don’t know about Reaper C.S.I. , which stands for Control Surface Integrator. It’s basically an extension to Reaper that let’s you completely customize your Control Surface using whatever hardware, and mapping it to whatever hardware in whatever way works for you. That probably sounds daunting, but know that in the end, you have the kind of hands on system only available on an Avid S6 or SSL Duality well into 6 figures. So, rather than the UF8s, I bought the Behringer X-Touch, 3 Extensions, and the X-Touch 1. So 32-Faders (that maps 1-to-1 with my Analog Console), and a Focus Fader attached to the Console 1. Like the SSLs, you have a ton of buttons, knobs, faders, displays, and meters, but rather than Learning SSL, or Eucon, or even Softube’s control surface workflow, with Reaper CSI, you Teach it. Primarily, you want to control the DAW itself, the “Edit” window and session navigation etc, the “Mixer” window channels, busses, sends, etc, and each channels “Channel Strip” which includes the holy grail…tactile control over All Plugins. Again in Reaper, each channel has a Insert Chain window that can be pinned to a monitor and show all the plugins on that track. Crucially, it can Follow whatever track is selected. And since I have Console 1, SSL360, iZotope, and the MCU control surfaces ALL following the selected track, on a dedicated display, I can see everything on any track as fast as flying around on Console 1. That went way deeper than intended, and comes off like I’m trying to sell something. Really I’m saying Thank You for showing us what you’ve worked out, and comparing notes. Turned into a kinda rant, and I apologize. Hopefully this comes off in good faith. Thanks Brotha!

Thanks! First I just want to say I love console one and had it about a year after it came out. Sold it. Bought it again. I love the sound quality of the plugins. I went through a few DAWs while Avid was messing up Pro Tools during the 64 bit changeover and releasing buggy software to say the least. Logic and studio one work great with console one but I eventually returned to pro tools as its been solid for a few years now. (At least for me) The main thing I dislike about console one is the lack of scribble strips. So sometimes I was adjusting the wrong track and in pro tools it was annoying. I didn’t take your comments as a rant but as an addition to the conversation. Different tools work better for different folks. Thanks again

That was an awesome post! Thank you. I'm going to try all that out before getting the SSL controllers. I've got the softube fader now and will add the console 1 this black friday. Just added the UAD Ultimate 11 bundle and hope to finally get an integrated, streamlined workflow. Yours sounds awesome.

But with PT doesn’t it show up as one unit so if you want to adjust something using the UF1 it may be populating on the UF8 instead?

I’m not sure I understand the question. The controllers are under one port but the 360 app gives you flexibility. So if I have the uf8 set to navigation it will scroll the tracks and I can have the uf1 set to focus which will control the plugins. The uc1 will only follow the ssl plug-in clicks. So they can all work independently as well as together

Honestly i would go for the avid dock

I've had the dock and I honesty don't miss it. I think eucon is superior when it comes to integration and customization but having to use iPads really messes with my setup.

I replaced my softube setup with the full SSL setup. Havent looked back.

Nice! The lack of visual feedback on the softube controllers was just not working for me. SSL screens are bright and easy to read. The ergonomics are on point too.

@@RPMusicStudios Agreed. I am unsure of the accuracy of the metering plug in tho. I tested against my actual hardware analogue metering and it was way off but I have only had the SSL UF1 unit for a few days. Could be me not knowing the settings or a bug. However, SSL know their stuff obviously! p.s My Daughter loves the SSL's when they boot up - I'm sure your Son does too! :)

Nice video - articulate and good production values. Now, if you would just ditch Pro Tools........

Lol I’ve been trying to ditch pro tools but I’ve been using it for 20 years. I have Luna, Logic, studio one and Cubase. I’m just comfortable in pro tools.

Tell him you can do magic with the sound with this toy, and that he can be a sound wizard like you if he want

Notice how he is bouncing back and forth between the UF8 and the UF1 but the UC1 is kinda a waste due to being a dedicated SSL Channel Strip plugin only- no 3rd party support!

I really didn’t showcase the Uc1 in this video as much because I just got the uf8 and the uf1. I can assure you that the UC1 gets used a lot. Especially in the beginning stages of mixing. I can get a static mix super quick with it.

WARNING: This comment was inspired by another comment below, but I went WAY further in the process. I assume that he already knows everything I said here, given that he actually OWNs all of this gear. However, I kind of went crazy in case any of it Is useful to him, but also to anyone else that may find this. To that point, I copied and pasted it to the main thread to make it more findable. Thanks for the inspiration! Avid S3 + Dock, along with SSL X-Desk + X-Rack into an SSL Bus-Comp, that is definitely a winning Hybrid Combination. Other than the footprint and price tag there’s nothing “Mini” about it, that’s the same Huge SSL Superanalogue foundation that you’d get from a AWS or Duality. Let me add a couple of thoughts: A) You also mentioned the SSL “4 vari preamp” which I assume you mean the 4-channel SSL VHD rack unit. If so, I have something you may want to consider as a Massive expansion for $100, depending upon your ITB/OTB workflow. I’m guessing that you’re familiar with Passive Summing (as the X-Desk has been wrongly derided as an expensive summing box from the beginning). If not, then for simplicity sake it let’s you sum 16 balanced channels down to 2. The box is basically a passive summing network made up of simple “colorless” resistors, and No Active components, which a) makes it transparent, but b) means that it loses about 45dB in the process. However, that’s part of the magic, because you can Make Up the gain using any Microphone Preamplifiers you have laying around doing nothing since you’re no longer recording you’re Mixing. Passive Summing Boxes allow you to turn your Microphone Preamplifiers into Line Summing Amplifiers, functionality to make up the gain, but artistically to Add whatever “Color” to this new “Bus” that you want using and Gain-Staging whatever “Character Pres” you have at your disposal. (Let me inject this opinion: I think of Passive Summing Boxes the same as XLR cables, or maybe Pads. They’re just passive colorless utility tools that should be in Every analog studio. If I need to ‘interconnect’ an output to an input, I grab an XLR, and then I set the levels. If I want to run 2 or 8 outputs into 1 input, I grab a summing box….and then I set levels.) In your very SSL case, you have a 4-Channel VHD, AND an X-Desk. As you know, the X-Desk looks like an 8x2 mixer, but it’s a pseudo-inline console so has dual input channels and allows you to steal the Cue Bus, feed it with the 8 Alt inputs, then Sum the Cue to Mix, that’s 16. Then it has 2 Stereo Returns, that’s 20. So that 8x2 is really a 20x2. Let’s make it a 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Console. Even better, let’s identify 4 distinct “Group Busses” or paths to the Mix Bus, and tons of SSL serial and parallel routing options. (48-Channels -> 4-Group Busses -> Stereo Mix Bus) Continued……

Which brings us to the other thing that I hope you already have in place or an easy path to expansion: Patchbays! I would strongly suggest a pair of 96-point TT Patchbays to make this the ultimate SSL Hybrid setup. On one bay I would have ALL 48-Inputs across the bottom row, fed half-normalled by whatever you normally want going where on the top row. On the other bay, all of the Insertion Points from the X-Desk (channels and mix bus), as well as ALL Outboard I/O probably including X-Rack. (Actually I would do what I call a double-stack, which puts 48 Interface OUTs across the top of Bay 1 (A), HN to chosen Outboard INs across the bottom of Bay 1 (B). Then the top of Bay 2 (C) is the OUTs of those chosen Outboard, HN to the 48 INs of your newly expanded SSL Superanalogue Console (D). ALLRIGHTTTTT…. B) (stop laughing). Are you using the SSL Channel Strip and Bus Compressor Plugins? Are you aware that they upgraded the sound of them a few years ago (the old Duende and V1 versions didn’t sound nearly as good as the Softube, BX, or UA versions), they’re fantastic now. Are you aware of SSL360? And the fact that you don’t Need the hardware in order to use the Plugins or 360? Believe it or not, I already wrote a long ass comment on this video thread in which I detailed my setup, but for this and you, I want to strongly suggest you check out the SSL Software Ecosystem (if you haven’t). And while they’ve upgraded my Duende with Every new version For Free, SSL has also run sales of the Channel Strip and Bus Compressor a few different times for only $49. So yeah…. Imagine this with me if you will: An Avid S3 and Dock driving Pro Tools, 16-Channels and a Master/Focus Section, near perfect. An SSL X-Desk expanded with an SSL VHD and Passive Summing Boxes into a 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Console. Now add SSL Channel Strip plugins to every channel (and Bus Compressors plugins where appropriate). Dedicate a Monitor just to SSL360. If you don’t know, SSL360 communicates with each of the SSL plugins in your DAW. Within the DAW you can use each plugin just like any other. (With the S3 and Dock you can map Plugin to the Hardware as you like and develop a ‘muscle memory’ where your hands know where to go without your eyes following a cursor on screen. Basically using the Avid Control Surfaces rather than the SSL Control Surfaces.) However, the Pro Tools Mixer window will only show you the individual windows you have open. The SSL360 killer app is the Plugin-Mixer, which basically turns your Monitor into a Virtual SSL Console, both visually and in terms of control. The thing that’s hard to explain until you do it and wrap your head around it, is that working on Acutal Analog Consoles, you can glance over at Many Channel Strips at one, and use your paws to adjust different mix elements against each other, in a way that No Mouse Cursor ever can. This is a Hand-Eye coordination thing that SSL360 returned to our mixing lives. So, back to the imagination: Picture a desk with room for the S3/Dock in the middle and Mastering style rack bays within reach to the sides, housing a rack mounted X-Desk in one, and Interfaces, Patchbays, and 2 Folcroms in the other. Above the S3 is a Monitor dedicated to SSL360, with a view of the entire mix (Possibly shared with the Pro Tools Mixer window switching between the two.) And above that another monitor with the Edit Window. Obviously this is insanely long for a KZread comment, and yet still doesn’t spell out everything, but in the end…. I can see the ultimate 48-Channel SSL Superanalogue Hybrid Console with full Pro Tools DAW Control, and everything within reach of my Ears, Eyes, and Hands.

Hold on to your $$ guys because AI is about to change the game as we know it and it will be 10 times cheaper and better. For now I have three 27' touchscreen monitors and I challenge any of the controllers out there when it comes to workflow speed.

Dont get it... S3 is wayyy better! Quality, functions etc. etc. 🙄

The ssl quality is superb. The workflow for me is great. As I say in the video I can travel with one of the modules easily. I’ve done that with the s3 and it’s horrible. Also the s3 won’t be supported by avid by the end 2026. Also I’ve had to replace a fader on the s3 every 3-6 months. That’s not quality to me.
