I can’t get over how beautiful this show’s animation has been every single week so far

from what we've seen so far I think mum's in the mix of the current trauma as Kano seems to be estranged from her mother now, clearly something has happened there and Kano is trying to prove something.

The reason they went viral over night should be a driving point for the next ep I assume, something on the lines of Kano voice got identified maybe.

My theory right now is that Kano's mom treated Mero better than Kano because she was probably more popular and brought in more fans than Kano did. This causes Kano to push herself harder and harder while watching her mom act more caring towards Mero. Eventually the powder keg explodes and Kano and Mero get into an altercation. My guess would be that Mero was the one that started the altercation and Kano just defended herself, but since Mero was more popular with the fans than Kano, they probably scape-goated Kano and pushed her out of the group so that they could preserve Mero's large fan base. This is probably why Mero looked kind of regretful this episode when talking about the "scandal". It would also explain the falling out between Kano and her mom and why Kano is so adamant about proving she's better than the Idol group.

I know its off subject BUT season 3 of AK has been announced. Cant wait!

To me, it seems like Kano only cares about her mom. I can see Kano being upset that her mom sided with Mellow. With that in mind, beating the release date is about beating her mom at getting it done first. I think when she sees the group, she’s only thinking about her mom.

This and Tonari no Yokai-san are probably my two favorite new animes of the season.

After watching episode 5, I have my own theories about Kano's scandal, and I _really_ hope I'm wrong about them.

I do try to get physical media but I gotta pick and choose can't get everything. :P I guess there hasn't been a new model of 4k bluray player since 2021. The top of the line one is 500 dollars. I do hope to get one before they stop making them lol. I had 2 bluray devices fail on my where the the blue laser quit working. So they become dvd drives. I'd hate to buy a player for 500 dollars and it quit working in a few years...

The "recruitment ad truck" in the background is a truck that goes around blaring advertisements for agencies that recruit girls for the nightlife industry.

I don’t think otaku spirit ever saw two women fight. Being feminine or not has nothing to do with fighting. You don’t need to be a tomboy to throw hands. Also some advice, never try to get between two women fighting.

This is one of the few anime that you watch that I’ve absolutely no interest in at all.
