Self Righting Test | Hike Metal | Coast Guard Canada
This 6 camera, 2 drone setup was produced by Deep Focus Media for Hike Metal Products as an internal communications video meant to capture critical information while performing a Self Righting Test of a newly constructed ship. This test is only performed every 20 years, so there was zero room for error. The video was able to provide critical information from the test back to the team at Hike Metal Products and The Canadian Coast Guard.
Deep Focus Media is a video production company in Windsor, Ontario.

I love a livable self righting yatch
Superb design.
Don’t leave the bridge doors open or there will be trouble! It’ll still flip but almost all the electronics will be fragged thanks to salt water ingression.
Wow
класс!
cool ;-)
The RNLI do this to every boat

No that's RNLI traininh. This is a static unmanned test to test the structure/design is indeed self-righting, which it was. RNLI don't operate boats of same displacement as most coastguards which are more often than not decommissioned warships of severall hundred tonne. Biggest RNLI is 18-40 tonne.

Looks like it’s the same as the Severn class
How mach ?? Is god to fishing
Any idea of the fate of the little tug Ian Mac?
All you can do is copy the best. The tunnels are deeper on the Severn - better maneuverablity.

It's a completely different class of vessel. RNLI have the luxury to design a single purpose vessel. Coastguard are rescue, border & law enforcement, fishing enforcement, customs, seizures even light military roles.

@@markiobooker218 It is still based on the Severn Class lifeboat of the RNLI. Robert Allan Ltd. took the base design and enlarged it and built with aluminium, although they still could have used GRP at this size. The Canadian Coastguard make no secret of their fleet copied from the RNLI, as they even call some of their older vessels the same 'Arun Class' and dates back to 1972 with the RNLI.
How much?

A rip off of the rnli severn class lifeboat

It is based off the Severn, but it's modified for the rougher conditions of the Canadian Atlantic coast. Slightly slower, but a lot more suited for the weather its used in. So not a rip off.
