I gave my husband (6'4"] a feather duster 'knife' to cut my throat and I (5'4") tried to break free with this technique. He cheated right off the bat because he slyly put his left arm over my left arm and across my body greatly hindering my movement. The next problem I had was getting a good grip on his wrists. It took both hands and even then I couldn't budge his arms. I sweet talked him into loosening up. The next problem I had was that his elbow was a good 8" past my shoulder. I needed to step to the right (after telling him to loosen his hold with his left arm) and after I stepped to the right I needed to position his elbow on my shoulder but he kept leaning forward (cheating again!) so his arm just went straight down. I grew up on a farm hauling hay and doing farm work. I also worked in lumber mills for years so for my size I am a strong woman. I don't think this technique would work for women in most situations.

I want to live. My biggest fear is someone breaking into the house when I'm here alone. About the only places I go alone these days is during daylight to the local grocery or livestock feed store in our small town. My husband works remotely for weeks at a time. I can't tell you how many times I have stacked cookie sheets and pots and pans in front of the doors and spent the night in a chair in the dark at the top of the stairs with a gun in my hand. Now I have 5 little yapping dogs. Nobody will sneak up on me again. Key word- again.

Love this but while u take control of his arm to disarm him, how do you account for his other free arm and his knees to ensure that he doesn't try to defend himself against you breaking his arm by striking you anywhere along your backside?
@kamhertzmartialacademy98328 жыл бұрын
you need to know more about arm locks. the knife at throat would have the attack pull his knife the minute you pull his arm forward, and you wont be able to twist his arm to a lock because it is already bent

Very controversial one this, takes years of practice but even the moves this teacher are difficult once you know it off by heart. There are many teachers out there that mean well but have not really encountered most of the situations portrayed in class. The guy means well, whether he is a good teacher or not. Respect to all those who try and help others, lets hope that the teacher takes these criticism you guys posted positively as that will be us helping the teacher.
