Poor Selena. It's like her and Chris were meant to be together. She didn't deserve to get her heart broken at all. In general, nobody does. Abraham's point though is that no matter how old selena got, he was still gonna worry about her well-being. Just because she was 20 that didn't mean her dad retired from being concerned about her well being.

I saw this movie with my best friend when it premiered in theaters when we were little. We love Selena, and J-Lo and everyone did such a great job in the film.
Jlo and Edward James Olmos did their thing in this scene! SUPERB acting.
Me watching the end of this movie makes me sad, when I was about 2 years old my brother told me about Selena. I was like, who dat? When I was 8 years old (in 2008) I saw the movie and then at the ending I saw that she’s a real person! Now I love her more then ever! RIP Queen Of Tejano, Latin, and Mexican music

@@wop2784 Fair enough. But if you watch videos of Selena's interviews she had lots of charisma and she was quite pretty in my opinion. So it's plausible that he was attracted to her and they spent time together which is how most relationships happen.

Lol I felt so sad for her. {Weakly}"I said, I love him". Not even free to love. At least in this movie, Abraham didn't have so much control and he was portrayed partially the tyrannical monster he could be in real life Unlike the movie and series, Chris never felt accepted properly by Abraham even after the marriage.

This movie could have been better. Jennifer and Edward James Olmos' actings were compromised by the underperforming Jon Seda and miscast Constance Marie and Jacob Vargas. This director, Gregory Nava had potential but he compromised his career by making immature career choices such as not being serious about casting.
