elle415: You know, I have never been the type to follow any singer or musical group, but the little that I used to hear of Selena singing I liked. Now I see alot of her videos. I know she is loved by Hispanics and Mexicans, but it amazes me how people of other nationalities love her and her music. She had a beautiful personality. She always looked so happy. By the way, the guy dancing alongside and with her (The one with the mullet hair style) is from my hometown of Laredo, Texas.

@@charly2172 I hate to bring conspiracies into this but isn’t so weird that she passed right before her English crossover. In the 90s Latino artists in the music industry were unheard of. She was a symbolism of hope for the Mexican/Latino community and if you look all the most influential minorities in the music industry throughout time they were all taken away from us. Today we do have Spanish successful mainstream artists such as Maluma, bad bunny, cardi b, carmela cabilla or whatever her name is and some new chick Oliva rodrigo but none compare to the absolute talent Selena and her team had and such a positive influence the way she had.

esta si fue nuestra verdadera reyna de la musica..una chica genuina no pretendia ser loq no era ..era simplemente natural..wooooo..su don era enorme siempre con una sonrisa ella..en sus entrevistas se le puede ver q era transparente.y muy simpatica....como ella no creo q exista otra igual....ni sikiera la ballena rivera ni alos talones le llego..ya q esa burra formo su carrera avase de escandalos e inflada por los medios d comunicacion..y esta presiosura selena fue a vase de puro talento..que bueno q almenos pudo ver lo mucho q la qieriamos y reconociamos su travajo...siempre viviras en nosotros reyna selena.jamas te olvidaremos

Me too. I'd sing it and had no idea what I was singing but it just sounded good. When I got to Spanish in high school, our teacher used her song for us to sing and translate and once we did translate it, I remember saying to myself, "so this is what I've been singing!" :)

awe, how I wish she was alive, she was so unique,beautiful ,talented, charismatic ,humble grateful ,she knew that she was who she was because of her fans and she always said so and that's why 21 years after her passing we still miss and love her. RIP beautiful queen I love you dearly.
