Selena is Mexican-American. She was born in Texas of Mexican decent. She was the Queen of Tejano ( Tex-Mex) music. She spoke English as her first language, and Spanish as her second language. In this video she is singing in Spanish. She started singing as a child, with her sister and brother as her band. Selena sang Cumbia, Tejano, Pop, Latin Pop, Country, Ranchera (Mariachi), Techno, and ballads. She was a singer songwriter, spokeswoman, actress, model, businesswoman, and fashion designer. She won many awards. She was well known for her charisma, generosity, joyfullness, beautiful voice, and fashion sense. Selena Gomez is named after her. Her full name was Selena Quintanilla-Perez. She was married to her band's guitarist, Chris Perez. She has two boutiques where she sold clothes she designed. SELENA designed all her clothing for her presentations. On March 31, 1995 she was murdered by her boutique manager, fan club president, and friend Yolanda Saldivar. Selena's father, that was her manager, found out that Saldivar was imbezzing money from the boutiques and fan club. She was confronted and said it was not true. In the day of the incident Selena met with Saldivar to retrieve some documents amd fire Saldivar. They argued. When Selena was about to leave, Saldivar shot her in the back. Selena later died. Selans continues to be an inspiration to many Latinas and to many artist, till this day. There is a movie about her life, played by Jennifer Lopez. You might want to see it. There is also a miniseries on Netflix.

She was only 23 years old when she died. She should still be here with us. 😭

I know by personal experience my big cousin and I tried to help a friend gettin' cleaned everything was fine for 4 months then she relapsed she held us at gunpoint we were in the car started shooting at the windshield hit me on the shoulder and got my cousin in the chest and head opened the driver door and the passenger's side threw us out the car she robbed me & my cousin she cleaned out the car.... R.I.P. John Danny 1992-2019.... That's when I stopped helping people "friends" even family ... You never know who's ready to stab you in the back for anything I haven't trusted anyone else again nobody since then.

She is from my home town Corpus Christi tx. She was born in Lake Jackson Tx though. We still love her till this very day. Miss her incredibly. Please watch “Selena” the movie. You will learn about who she is. Well, a snippet at least. The movie is best to watch first. Don’t watch the Selena series on Netflix until you watch the movie first. ♥️♥️♥️

Wow, incredible that our beautiful Selena caught your attention. I have to brag, I saw her at a baile (a dance/concert) back in Feb., 1995. She came to my small neighboring town, Lakeland, Florida. I was a young lad and by then, had not yet gone to dances much. So I was so confused when all of a sudden people ran (to the front of the stage) and on top of tables! Kind of scary, as I didn't know what or why it was happening. Mind you, this was after the first band had been playing. I also had no idea who was even going to be playing. I hated going to these dances, but my all three sets of cousins (seven teens) had convinced me to go with them. I think our parents only let them/us go, if we all went together, since we varied in ages. Ain't I so glad to have given in! She was mesmerizing, entertaining, sweet and of course an awesome singer. I could go on sharing about it, but I'll stop here. Saludos mexicanos (Mexican cheers) from Florida, USA!

Selena was born on 1971 in Texas , she had a brother and a sister and at the age of 9 had a nice singing voice that her father created a band with her , her sister and her brother and from there she sang ever since until she was unfortunately murdered by her fan club president who was jealous of her.

Selena was such a humble person she never thought of herself as famous she lived her everyday life as “normal” as it can get even though her dad told her it wasn’t safe Selena still wanted to keep access with her fans one story is a fan told her she liked her shoes and these were Selena’s brand new shoes she took them off and gave them to her fan. She didn’t care about the money or nothing she was truly a sweet and amazing soul it’s so heartbreaking she isn’t here no more she even wanted 5 kids:(.

I remember bawling my eyes out when I learned that she had been shot and killed. It was devastating. I love her! I don't speak Spanish so I have no idea what she's saying, I just know she sounds amazing. She was beautiful inside and out. You couldn't help but fall in love with her. Her smile, personality is so dynamic. Just a pure soul. She had that IT factor, the whole package. Such a tragic, senseless tragedy. When I listen to her music it makes me want to smile and cry at the same time 😢

I stumbled on your channel and to see you cry over Selena was beautiful 💜😢 She was an amazing role model to girls like me. I was 14 when she died and my world was upside down. She was like the female Latin Michael Jackson. Her family went from her playing in restaurants to street areas to her being famous. She was lovable, sweet, funny and an advocate for women, children getting their high school diploma to wanting to be a successful designer. She had no evil bone in her body. She always said she was too trusting and trusted the woman who ultimately killed her. Selena will always remain the most beautiful angel on earth and in heaven. ♥️

Loved your reaction. She had it all talent, beauty, charisma, used to design her outfits, but her best attribute was her humility and love for her fans. We all still miss her a lot but glad that she left this legacy for us to enjoy.
