In an NBC News exclusive, TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie sat down with Selena Gomez and her best friend, Francia Raisa, to talk about the kidney transplant that Gomez says saved her life after she was diagnosed with lupus five years ago. “My kidneys were just done,” Gomez says in the emotional interview.

She was an angel Who saved Selena's life.... Really a true friend
Well this did not age well. Not saying francia and Selena have to still be best friends or whatever but Selena referring to her simply as “someone I know” after she saved her LIFE is just cold, unforgivable, and a horrible look. My view of Selena is forever changed.
The only person I’d give my kidney is my mom and my future children. Losing an organ is no joke
My wife needs a kidney and I am not a match. Her parents did not qualify due to health issues. She has been on dialysis for years and is only 26. We pray every night that she is blessed with a kidney:(
If someone gives you a kidney, that’s what you call a REAL friend.
She found out she was a match from Selena! The doctor notified Selena first before Francia. Selena then FaceTimed Francia and told her "we are a match!" That's how Francia found out. Francia never had a choice of wether or not to do it because she had no time to think about it.
Francia is sooo special. She's a real superwoman

The part where francia stated that she literally had to write a will because there is no guarantee you will wake up that has to be mind boggling that us a huge eye opener
Francia is a good person. It sounds like she was uneducated on kidney donation and I hope she’s doing ok now. She did a truly selfless thing.
Now Francia is just someone Selena knows.
It really sucks that no one thinks you're struggling unless you look like you're dying on the outside.

I am in the process of being a kidney donor. My surgery is scheduled for next month. KZread showed me this video. This is a sign that what I am doing is right. I pray the Lord to give me strength and health. Update: my surgery has been scheduled for May 19th. I cannot wait to give my Dad a new life. Thanks for the ❤️

I am a kidney donor, and it is really painful but I would do it again if if I could 😊 the way you can change someone’s life is so amazing. ( I donated to my husband. )
they might have been compatible for the kidney but i don't think they are compatible as friends... Selena doesn't give Francia the place she deserves after this
