I find people do better and cope better when they speak about their mental health. The unnecessary shame that people put on themselves for having a mental health issue is more damaging than a mental health diagnosis. I find it very frustrating when cancer patients are honored or praised for their struggle with fighting death. When people with mental health issues are doing the same thing. With cancer, you are fighting to death a disease that attacks the cells in the body. With mental health it's your brain attacking your soul. The result of mental health issues with out proper care is death. Both are very difficult but one is celebrated when defeated and the other is shamed, mocked, doubted, and despised for a lifetime.

Mental health issues usually don't involve hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical and treatment bills over the span of however many years it may be (hint the word usually). I'm hoping and guessing you do not believe cancer patients can't have mental health issues themselves? Not to mention the fact cancer always has a good chance of coming back. My point is, as someone who is also mentally struggling, That was probably the stupidest take I've ever read in a comments section on youtube. Just because you keep your feelings inside and let it them spill over some random celeb news clip doesn't mean you're suffering should be sympathized more over the other. Also, its 2024. Who nowadays shames mental illnesses? boomers? your parents? friends? You may want to distance yourself from that if you are able... I'm not gonna troll you and say its nothing a little therapy couldn't solve like some people claim, because realistically sometimes that just isn't enough for some people, but conflating with the two is just wild to me. Not all of your comment was stupid tho. You are however correct on some aspects like MH issues not properly taken care can absolutely result in death/suicide/whathaveyou. The thing is I do agree with a lot of what you had to say but they're are better ways to word it without coming off...victimly? And I do not mean that as an insult whatsoever. Just be careful with the wording next time that's all I have to say And I do not know this... but if you are struggling with ANYTHING... I do hope you find your way. truly. I'm always told there are resources available, despite me myself never really tried any of them myself. And if you do have the chance (lets be fair, the money as well) to take advantage any of them, please come back and tell me what it was and how it went. Best :D

We all know her mental health issues have put her in rough spots. I get it, her vulnerability has really brought annoyance from people. But im proud of this new version of Selena. I distanced myself from her and people can call me unloyal or anything but watcjing her go through so many mental battles and kind of putting it out into the world and kinda burning her image.
