My favorite part of this entire concert is when she growls and throws her leg in the air while saying “said it on the air on the radio” then backs up and starts jamming. She looks like she’s having so much fun singing that song

Selena was the first person to sell out the Astrodome and that's saying A LOT, considering the legendary groups that came before her-Elvis, The Rolling Stones and many more. I was at this concert. Best behaved of every concert crowd I ever saw-no fights-no drunkeness. Polite people, good people.

Yeah, so sad he lost his baby sis. I lost a sis to a tragic ailment. She was imperfect but the life of the party. Always missed. They're gone on now. I look forward in seeing all those whom I love gone on, someday.💝💝💝

Hazafan88 That will never happen because the concert was not shot in high definition. HD type of technology did not exist in the 1990’s. A Blu-ray release would be really pointless all they would be doing is digitally upscaling it which could be done in a simple DVD release. Which is what they recently did btw. It has been rereleased in a CD+DVD combo pact. Props to Universal for doing that for Selena fans. How they digitally remastered it though is up to opinion and preference.

Queen of Tejano that's exactly what they did to this concert. It wasn't shot in high Def either. It was 1995. High Def cameras really weren't a thing then. They often used filters to clean up things. And with the 1995 concert, you can find unedited video of it and see how rough it is. Technology exists now to where they can clean up the video. It can be done. Especially today. Selena's concert from 1993 has clear visuals. But it was edited to be that way. Same with the 1995 concert.

Queen of Tejano also, there are many concerts filmed decades before this one that came out on Blu-ray. It can be done and I think they will do it at some point.

Hazafan88 To Do Blu-Ray they need to run the original film strip into a Blu-Ray converter to really up scale the quality into proper Blu-Ray format. Mr.Quintanilla already said he does not have ANY of the original concert footage. Everything he has is a VHS copy. I doubt the Astrodome has the raw original tapes since the Astrodome does not save all of their recorded performances. Back then they use dispose of them after 5 years to make room for more. Also Mr.Quintanilla already said a Blu-Ray release of Selena’s material is not physically possible and it’s something he will never do. Not even for the 1997 Bio Movie which is something that can be released onto blu-ray because Warner Bros has the original film strip

Queen of Tejano the tapes don't belong to the Astrodome. They belong to the city of Houston, which does archive any all all public footage used at venues that belong to the city And the restoration can be done. It's been done before. The only concert with which I see more obstacles is the 1994 one.

If you watch the DVD version, which is much clearer than this, you can see the cameraman smiling @5:47 as Selena walks opposite his position. She wasn't making a joke or doing anything funny. I always thought he was smiling because he was looking at her body and like most people, was in awe at her physical beauty, which was totally undeniable!

I graduated HS months after this performance. From Ohio I remember seeing it later on the news, would listen to Selena over and over. My parents taught me “the hustle” as a child at 43 I still remember it. Still my favorite part of this performance. The movie with Jennifer Lopez is on as I type this, Selena was a shining star taken away from our world far before her time! She’s still beautiful in my heart.

I will be watching and hearing this till the day I die!!! I love Selena so much.

This video makes me angry cry, I am still heartbroken over this! I cannot imagine how Chris, Abraham and her mom and siblings cope. Selena had it all, she loved performing, loved her fans, just people. In general. She is so beautiful and talented, and I don’t know how this disgusting lady says her conscious is clear, even if they did believe it was an accident! Abraham knew Yolanda was trouble, and had been grifting, he knew she wasn’t very stable, and he knew his daughter would have a hard time with her, why didn’t they call the cops to arrest her when they found she was stealing? This death was so unnecessary. Yolanda knew exactly what she was doing, Selena had everything she didn’t. She took the most beautiful person away from her friends and family snd the world. I hope Yolanda is confronted when her release date comes, which is just around the corner. What a sad, pathetic excuse for a human being! RIP, Selena. You will always be in our hearts!
