At 2:59 you weren’t ignorant you were right. Selena had this thing where she would get lipstick on her mic but she always cleaned it but unfortunately the last time she performed she never got the chance to clean it. It is on display at her museum in Corpus Christi, Texas

Juan Hernandez Yup! That microphone was her instrument. She would take it apart and clean it before every gig but after using the mic for over a year now she had permanently stained it with her lipstick. The very last time she used it was in Bryant, Texas around March 20 something of 1995 a few days prior to her death. On April 1st she was scheduled for a concert in LA and it was then she was going to get to clean the mic again but she never got the chance to. The museum displays the mic the way she last left it with lipstick residue still on it. Which for being over 25+ years now it’s amazing how the lipstick on the mic still looks fresh. By now it should have turned a almost rusty brown color but it hasn’t. It’s still bright red..

I wish when SELENA got up that fateful morning she would've just told YS on the phone to go to where the sun don't shine, talk to my lawyer. And then just went on to the studio and finished working on her crossover Album. She only got like a few songs on it that she recorded before her death. I know, wishing never changes anything.

She was so special. She was captivating. Had that Freddie Mercury caliber persona and stage command. I’m so proud of her!

Selena was such a rare talent. She was a natural born singer and performer and was SO humble. I love these global KZread reaction videos of Selena. Omg I loved your reaction!! You had all the looks for her, from surprised to looking at her with sweetness omg loved it.

She was one of a kind, the best. Was privileged to grow up near her and was a teen with her. Her music was a huge part of our upbringing, many great memories. She brought that energy there to local small venues as well which is where I saw her perform. She grabbed a crowd and they never left with her stage performance. True pro, beautiful, never missed a beat, great cardio obviously and a voice that was beyond this world. Most of all she was humble, never forgot where she came from which many do. We only got to see the tip of the iceberg. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I really enjoyed listening to her sing in English as well as in Spanish, the way she moved, her dancing, like you said in her working the cameras and her pretty smile. I love your reaction... I agree with all your comments. I thought them when I saw this on tv the year she was alive and died. I saw the entire concert on tv LIVE when she did it. I always got the goose bumps when I heard her music when she was alive and after her death. She has the same energy as Aaliyah, both died at the best or peak of their careers. I miss them both. Yes she is like the Spanish Aaliyah. Selena is our generations, La Bamba, our Elvis , our Marilyn Monroe and she for me was right their next to Michael Jackson. Actually did you know that the role of Selena was offered to Salma Hayek first? She turned it down because she said they offered her the role a week after she died and she thought it was sad they were planing a movie that soon. I think Salma would’ve been perfect for the movie. I had mad crush then too & was pregnant when she passed & wanted to name my daughter after her but her dad said too many other baby girls will too so we went with my backup (Sierra) 😤 still 29 yrs later I wish I wouldn't listen bc every class, school or dance, playground etc, there were 2 or 3 other Sierra's & no Selena's 🙄 but I gave in too easy when I was young, wouldn't happen now😂 ... 🙏😇 will miss her forever & never forget her 🥰

He was 47. Shelton performed as a backup dancer with Selena Quintanilla-Perez in the late 80s during the Tejano Music Awards, Suzette Q. Arriaga said.” Feb 5, 2015.

lol thats actually her lipstick on the mic. Not the color. That same mic is in the museum in Corpus Christi. She usually cleaned the mic after every performance because of all the lipstick on it. She died before she could clean it again sadly. Now its forever stained with her lipstick at Q productions in Corpus Christi.

The mic held lipstick from other performances. She just used it often and pressed it to her lips to make some of it her signature color.

Selena was the one who design and made that Beautiful purple outfit she is wearing thats why it fits her Perfect. She honestly design some of the outfits you see her perform in. ❤️❤️
