Reffing has a lot of politics involved and the announcer doesn't know that, so he correctly calls out the ref. What you don't know is that if he calls it that way, and PSU didn't agree, it would only take one phone call and that official would be black listed from PSU for life. He's worked probably anywhere from 10-30 years to get to this level and it's because he calls things the way the coaches want. This is the biggest reason why you see so many bad calls at the highest level of athletics. The best officials don't always make it to the top, because they disagreed with someone along the way.

It's a pleasure to watch RBY on his feet. RBY's matches are pretty useless for coaching instruction. You can't coach speed. His kind of speed is unique and unmatchable. But it's awesome to watch. He came to PSU with the speed. Cael added the ingredients that allowed RBY to be a multiple time national champ. He's taken his place among the Nit's all-time greats.

It's hard to call a guy for stalling when he's the only guy circling back to the middle of the mat. You may think stalling only involves shots taken. But in reality penn states wrestlers are taught how to avoid a stall call while stalling. Always being close or near the center of the mat. always hand fighting. taking forward steps ever 3rd back step. Its all strategy
