Why do you get the mortal blade for the shura ending?

Gyoubu Oniwa, the boss riding the horse in the big arena at ~4:30. He falls off the ledge eventually

at 14:50 and 15:55 why does your clock go down a second or two when you choose continue?

if i am not mistaken as i have seen dark souls speedruns it removes the time it takes to transition to the menu

The time the timer displays is an estimate. Whenever you quit-out or reach credits the timer reads the time from the savefile and corrects itself. Everytime you quit-out it loses track by about .56 seconds. The game also rounds down to the nearest whole second. So a quitout at for example 15:14.45 will then first have it's .56 removed, because that was the created by the inaccuracy of the timer and THEN the game will round down the time to nearest whole second. Which leaves the time, when loading back in, at 15:13.00. If the quit-out was done at 15:14.85 then it would result in a time of 15:14 when loading back in. This is refered to as "Hitting" or "Missing" the rounddown. Note: There's no rounddown on the credits. Hope that clears it up.

its called lightning reversal, you get hit by the lightning while you are mid are then attack to send it back.
