Picked this watch up last year, gently used for just over $3k. Best money I ever spent on a watch, the spring drive is simply remarkable. If you put all the tech in this watch into a higher profile name (I'm looking at you Rolex), you'd be looking at a 20k retail watch. Gorgeous tool watch, doesn't get any better.

Picked up mine used but in new condition for under $3k. I’ve owned Rolex and omega and this is the best one for me. A true tool watch and no one is the wiser about the cost. Mine is running about 5 and a half seconds fast a month 😂

Nice driver! It is a Seiko in name only. Bet with the spring drive and the finishing it is built in the GS factory. Much like my Seiko SLA 043. Great looking watch. Seiko has been making quality Ti for many yrs. I have a ti Samurai, and a Shogun. Amazing case work for ti.

This is better than GS divers. Look at the design. Its the iconic Seiko Marinemaster with a Spring Drive. Its the best design, with GS quality (made by GS) and engineering.

I absolutely love it, but just can't justify the price difference between this and say the SLA021. I picked mine up used (but with stickers still on it) for around $2300. GS level 8L35 movement, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, monobloc case,, same clasp, same level of finishing, etc. I know this is titanium and has a spring drive but it's over $3k more. Maybe I'll just break down and pick one up anyway at some point.

Got this in 2021 for my 40th b-day gift to myself. Sure it's expensive but the specs are pretty awesome. Did you know it won best diver's watch award for GPHG 2019? 😁

It’s kind of crazy to think that a Submariner costs basically twice as much as this. OK, the Sub will probably hold its value better, but in terms of actual watchmaking, it’s not even close. The spring drive movement, Zaratsu polishing, the lume, the dimensionality of the dial… all run circles around a Rolex diver.

Serious divers, I hear, use dive computers. Most of us who buy diver’s watches are not serious divers. The swimming pool or snorkeling is probably the furthest we’ll get. Still very nice watch.

Outstanding watch but the ugly Prospex logo is out of place on the dial of such a high end piece. It draws this LX to the lower range of the Prospex line. It should be removed to the crown. Seiko did it already for the SBDB015 (which was in the same price range) a few years ago. When you pay this kind of money you deserve something exclusive beyond the overall quality.
