I think there isn't any AR coating on this one and it's by design. It's a field watch and imagine if you get lost in a desert the reflection on the crystal could be used to send signals.

Interesting idea and it does have its merits but something tells me it maybe down more to do with cost cutting on Seiko's side :)

AR coatings are on the inside of the crystal and wouldn't effect such a use.

@@ClickSpringReview in real live its much better than on the picture. I think the strongest points are the demension of the watch... weakest point is the strap my dog cant chew it he thinks its a steal cable...
