I guess you have a low opinion of yourself or you think you've mane a poor decision or you really want youtube thumbs up? what the motivaiton?

@@MrMadvillan Actually, it wasn't a complaint. It was more of a "running joke", as it were. To me, alignment issues are easily fixed with a bit of tweaking. My Arnie has no issues at all though, I've modified my Turtle, which has eliminated any cosmetic problems. Both are still great watches either way.

Im just very skeptical of KZread because I think some channels tend to bias towards companies who give away merchandise for 'review.' I honestly have no idea where RR stands. He doesn't seem to do disclosure particularly well either. Like I dont know if he's doing ads like joma clearly does.

If I could buy just one diver it would be this one. Love the upgrades and blue color.

This is a pleasure in wrist presence and Seiko/Sapphire quality! I have the Seiko great white blue dial version. Magic out in the sun!!!

I have actually settled with this as an exit watch after i have gone through multiple luxury watches.. I had a Submariner, a few Omegas, and 3 Breitlings. All beautiful pieces don't get me wrong, but i have always been a one watch guy and just found myself in situations where you just can't have a luxury watch on wrist, i tried to settle on my Breitling SOHII, witch is probably one of the best looking watches out there, but just couldn't have only watch that has exterior AR coating. Now that i have only this i am the happiest that i have ever been in my entire watch collecting journey. Wish i got this much earlier!

You guys got me staring at the Seiko on my wrist looking for misalignment issues. It might just be me, but it's absolutely perfect.

Just bought this watch today. Everything lines up correctly and got it for a steal at 411.00 from an authorized dealer. This is my fourth Seiko diver. I have the SKX 009 J1, the new Monster, the STO Samurai and now a STO King turtle. Love them all. Also Honorable mention, I have an Islander watch (SKX) in Orange.

Looks great I have been thinking of picking one up as well. Wear it well!

Purchased this watch from Rob’s AD buddy Mimo. What a mistake. First watch purchased had a stripped crown tube, took it back to mimo in person as live somewhat close. Of course he blamed me for stripping the tube. He gave me a replacement, took it home didn’t wear the item but 1 day and noticed it kept terrible time. Tracked the time on my app which stated I was slow 400 spd. In addition the watch stopped multiple times after being fully charged. In conclusion , had to send a brand new spre07 into NJ for repairs. They came back with $175 in repairs of which is covered by warranty. Oh yeah forgot to mention Mimo accused me of dropping the watch which I never did. What a pos experience. I’ll stick to buying my watches gray market

Ordered one yesterday for $392 off Amazon. Didn't have a 2020 Save The Ocean model to go with my 2019, 2021 and 2022 models. Love the dial and the "King" upgrades. Good review.

Beautiful blue. As much as I dislike the faux patina for some reason on this watch it looks pretty good. Maybe because it doesn't look overdone? The new bezel is primo. Gives it a refine look. Nice video

That’s a pretty sweet turtle. The dial is amazing. The improvements were much needed but it’s too bad the alignment issue wasn’t addressed.

I really like the SRPE05 color and dial. I would however enjoy a LCBI dual time bezel insert. The candybar cyclops is also welcomed by the old eyes.

I have the SRPE07 on a bracelet from Seiko and it’s perfect. Not bad for my first watch buy

It’s crazy…these are discontinued. They’re hard to find. Probably the best textured dial for the King Turtle. Great color and love the fake patina lume.

Thanks for the vid, I bought the anthracite dual and added coin edge bezel with a sapphire bezel insert to have something similar to the 62 MAS look but now I don’t know which I like better?

7:35 For goodness sake don't take the ceramic insert out of the bezel! Not only do you risk breaking it, but it won't work anyway because the lume pip is drilled into the bezel and is not part of the insert. How could you possibly realign that? You can't. The way to align this bezel is to pop it off with a caseback remover, sturdy butter knife or bicycle tire lever and take out the ratcheting spring that sits underneath it. There are upward sloping prongs at 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock that cause the clicking action. If the bezel is misaligned to the left, slightly file down the metal prong at 1 o'clock. If misaligned to the right, file down the 7 o'clock prong. Then reinsert the ratcheting spring into the guide-holes on the case and firmly push the bezel back on. You can place it all on soft carpet and gently step on it until it clicks back in. How can I say all this? Because that's how I fixed my bezel alignment issue on my own SRPE07. Took me less than 10 minutes.

If you love that band, now on amazon you can get the almost Exact band in many colors. Only differences is the metal keeper and buckle is not signed and it comes w/quick release 2.0 spring bars. The blue looks great on my Padi turtle. The band is identical to the one that came on my 777 turtle . I like the band so much I have 5 colors. The band also comes in 20mm. I have that also in 2 colors. BTW there only $20

Nice video. Nice upgrades by Seiko. The turtles are all nice watches. But they are big and heavy. I took a Save the ocean. I was (and still am) satisfied with it. But I have never owned this size and weight of watch ever. I needed to take it off during the day. I have an 8 inch wrist. The silicone strap is great but not the keeper nor the clasp. Too bulky, wide and sharp edges. This is not a good strap to have when typing on the computer.

Does this mean that regular SRP777 Turtle is discontinued?

I agree with ya turtles wear better on a rubber strap. They don’t feel as bulky.

Where can I get a straps for it

I have just bought this exact model today here in Doha along with the Samurai Save The Ocean (with gunmetal case) on the rubber for my stepson. Both beautiful and tbh can't decide which I like best

Are you sure it isn't the chapter ring that's misaligned? It looked like the bezel and the 12 0'clock marker lined up OK. The chapter ring looks to be 1/4 of a minute advanced.

I bought the same one with a nice discount and zero issues. Great watch for the money. I also prefer this one on the strap.

Thank you Rob for the review. I only hardly disagree with the statement, that SEIKO won't improve QC if we customers refuse to accept such products. If their revenue drops in line with all the complaints we all hear from the market, they will have to - that simple it is. You denied the strongest rule on the free market.

Both Japan Made & International is 4R36 Movement... But the price after bargain for International Made is half the price 😘👍 furthermore the Watch Box is more fancier & presentable

Really like the idea of these, the grenade dial and the STO dials are odd choices... But the candy bar obsession at Seiko needs to end!

You probably know this by now, but not every single Seiko does have made in Japan on it. If you want to be completely sure that your Seiko or any brand of watch is authentic, then always buy from an authorised dealer.

After months of debating, I just purchased the SRPD21... now the King comes out!SAME DIAL, No Sapphire, no Ceramics, no Candy bar......hhhhmmmm what to do..... Should I just get this one too!? Does anybody think they'll discontinue the SRPD21?

Same here brother, I have a bit of uneasy feeling since it is the same dial, but now I’m telling myself that I now have a unique version with concentric, engraved bezel, along with the metal bracelet!

Could pick up the SRPE03K1 for about $550 here in Europe and to be honest I don't have a clue if this would be the best choice for a first Seiko auto

Not only is the bezel misaligned on some of these but the cyclops too. Shame on Seiko ! So be careful when you buy yours guys. Check them out properly before pulling the trigger.

Bought one & everything looks good except the 6oclock marker, it looks a bit misaligned, unless it’s just me lol. But honestly it’s not a deal breaker, love the watch & have gotten a few reaction

Noticed that it says “Movement Japan” instead of made in Japan like the JDM models. I wonder if they’re manufactured in different places or if it’s just that US and Japan have different rules regarding “Made in ...”

They have factories in Malaysia iirc for the models not ending with J1. The ones ending in J1 are made in japan. I think they're all the same thing at the end the day...

I'd rather have the SOT 2 with the Grey and blue or the Batman and put in a new crystal for about half the price. Those really pop.

They should've focused on the alignment issues and kept it at the same price. Bought a STO for less than half the price of these new ones. And I'd rather have a bezel that will patina with time. Sapphire should've been there from the beginning. Thanks for the review.

i like everything about this watch so much apart from the brushed hand! it look so out of place with the rest of the element. every king turtle had this brushed hand except the manta ray version which has the polished hand, take a look at the different and you'll know what i mean

It’s not just Seiko with these issues. Tried Grand Seiko GMTs and the Hour hands don’t line up and they are in the thousands. Garbage.

Its a nice watch. But my time with Turtles has come and gone.......

I wish this was a samurai. Think Seiko will make that?

Taking a watch apart for anything when it is under warranty will void that warranty.

I dig the SRPC91 better. It is a more beautifuller watch.

popping the sapphire crystal out and doing all that and you are degrading the waterproof of the watch.

Give it time Rob...you will eventually want to rip the guts out of this Turtle 🐢😂 I am happy you found a Turtle you like...I love my PADI but this one is tempting (I like it way more than the grenade dial). Thank you for fantastic review 😊
