    Beautifully still, Adrian. This piece leaves me breathless. Or perhaps more accurately, as breath. You have captured the essence of meditation music. In meditation, time has slowed to eternal. The music is patient. There is no rush. There is plenty of time. There is no time. There is silence. The total stillness between the phrases is forever, as important as the total nowness within the phrases. Beautiful. Thank you. 🙏

    Totally awesome. Had the pleasure to listen to you play this at the Ashburton Arts Centre at the weekend, it was the highlight of the evening for me. You add an extra dimension or two to any other flautist I’ve heard. Amazing sculpting of sound.

    I have been fascinated by Zen teachings for the past 40 years, since I was 18 years old and first read an introduction to Zen .. enigmatic, simple, penetrating, universalist, subtle, authentic, enchanting ... the Zen teachings continue to captivate and clarify the way to peace of mind ... playing this music is part of that journey, and I'm happy it connects with you, the listener. Thank you.

    Hi Adrian, this is such a beautiful sound. I also want to ask you whether it is totally natural and not manipulated in any way. I have become something of a skeptic as so much flute music is manipulated with a little reverb and echo to enhance it. Is what you present pure and unchanged electronically post production? It sounds like some of the echo wouldn't happen in the setting.

  • @ZenHeartMedicineMusic

    @ZenHeartMedicineMusic

    Жыл бұрын

    HI, thanks for connecting to my music. You are absolutely right, there is a little reverb added to the audio in post production. The actual room in which it was recorded was a very dry sound, and I feel that the instrument benefits from a more spacious ambience. I don't like a huge echo , but a little space and perspective brings out the warmth in the tones of the instument and the phrases of the pieces. I hope this shaping of the sound does not interfere too much with your enjoyment of the music. 🕊️
