    I took my Ninebot S Plus with this foldable handle out for a 1 mile test ride yesterday, and it worked very well, with no issues at all. I really like it. I was a little worried that it could possibly run away for a long ways if a rider ever fell off of it, or just let it go. When I tested it by letting go of the handle, it only runs away for a few feet, then repeatedly tries to slow itself down by automatically adjusting it's balance, so it gives you plenty of time to just walk a few steps and grab it again. That made me much more comfortable letting grandkids, or friends ride it. Just in case anyone else had similar concerns.

    The design of this handlebar unit is brilliant. The hinge makes it so the S-Plus doesn't run away like all Segways with handlebars do. Excellent workmanship. My handlebar unit looks just like it was an original part of the S-Plus.

    Hello ... i purchased this handlebar conversion over two years ago, when I first saw it. I love it. I am 74 years old, and my Segway Mini Plus and I go all over the neighborhood & shopping (in a mall) and even took it on a cruise, and they recognized it as a Personal Mobility Vehicle so I could take it aboard the Holland American. It is wonderful. I love it, and let's face it ... there is no way I could have used my Mini Plus without the handlebars!

    Thanks to your comment I know I'm able to roll Segway on Holland Osterdam and the other dams they have. I became disabled this year and due for vacation soon. After Holland do you have to get accustom to all the mediocre dining compared to real fine dining at your disposal aboard Holland Am.?

    Les is a genius! This handle works perfectly with my S-PLUS. I was having an issue with the S-PLUS and Florida wind - problem solved. Highly recommended. Thank you!!

    This does transform the s-plus into a different vehicle altogether. it's certainly much more maneuverable with the handlebar and I like how this model doesn't requre removal of the knee bar/remote ctl/camera on the s-plus, which kind of mitigates its value. Kudos on the engineering my man - this is one nifty product ;-)

    This is an excellent product. I own 3 Segways with 3 different handlebars and this is by far the best. And easiest to install. Will transform your hoverboard to a legit Segway. Strangers stop me every day asking where I got it. Get one!

    Pretty cool, thanks for the show. Can you use one hand to steer? perhaps grasping the center of the steering bar to control it fine with the other hand totally free? • I've been dreaming of that kind of electric but the inline scooters really require both hands for me, even though I can ride a bicycle with zero hands.

    Yes of course you absolutely can steer with just one e hand.

    Have you tested pulling the device with this handlebar when the device is off? I ask because one of the main deciding factors between the S Plus and the S Max for me is how portable the thing would be once the battery is dead and I have to carry it around.

  • @Skul-Ski

    @Skul-Ski

    Жыл бұрын

    Late response, but yes you can "tow" it around. Bigger factor for your question is the weight if you run into that. S-Max is about 15lbs heavier!!! Also, I have never run out of range, but I have had times that I wanted to dismount and walk. S-Plus will actually follow you, which is an awesome feature that I use much more than I ever thought I would. I have even had it carry my groceries. S-Max does not have that feature.

    I could make you one with all the components being black except for the pipes. That's the short version. Long version is: I could actually custom make it from just about any color and I have thought of offering that, but unfortunately that would drive the cost and time way up. Each handle takes a bit more than one 2 Kg roll to produce. Each roll is $25. So I would have to purchase 2 rolls to successfully complete one custom colored handle and then shelf the rest of that second roll and then buy a third for a potential subsequent order. That would be the case if I only used one printer, but I use multiple printers. It takes about 120 to 150 hours of 3D printer time to make all the components for one handle (Then at least an hour to trim and hand assemble everything). For that reason I have multiple 3D printers going to make the parts. In order to offer more than one color that would mean having multiple rolls of each particular color to keep the process going and the need to switch out colors all the time. Very time consuming already for a little "side business". There really is not that much demand for these handles as you can imagine. These S-Plus Segways are cool as heck but not all that much in demand. Also, a couple of my 3D printers have the ability to pause when they run out of filament but not all of them so that also means extra material to make sure I always have a pretty full roll on those machines that could potentially run out of material in the middle of a print which wastes a bunch of time and money. All those reasons together is why I pretty much stick with one color. So, long story short, I could do a black one, but it would be a special order thing and because of the extra time involved I would probably have to ask for another $15 or so. One caveat to the pipes. You could buy some black schedule 40 PVC pipe on your own and replace the white pipes that it comes with. It is simply schedule 40 PVC pipe.

    Personalmente li faccio uno alla volta e poi li elenco su E-Bay ogni volta che ne finisco uno. Richiede da 3 a 4 giorni per crearne uno. Puoi cercare E-bay ora per le inserzioni completate per trovare gli ultimi che ho venduto.

    @@Skul-Ski I really liked the video, because it clearly showed the fundamental basics from beginning to end of the product. Some severe difficulty listening though lol. I wanted to add I went to your website to purchase. It didn't load well, maybe my security settings. However, I saw your video stating your materials were being donated to Covid help. What I couldn't clearly discern was if you were selling the folding handlebars still (surplus supply) available.? Do you have a folding Handle Bar to sale for the Segway S (Mini) Plus?

    I have sold hundreds. I did have a few warranty replacements of broken hinges in early models but did a redesign a couple years ago and haven't had a claim since. 3D printed parts are quite resilient with the proper thickness and infill settings. I'll give you an example. At my work we regrind 80,000 lb work rolls for a steel mill. These rolls sit atop 4 3D printed pads that are about 8" x 8". We use this technology now instead of brass pads.
