    Recently received my lovely region free modded model 1 VSaturn from eBay (packed in with its matching Victor branded controller) Been playing X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, beautiful, beautiful, wonderful game. Got it linked up on to my modern 4K tv with one of those Hyperkin HD cable’s, cleans up really well.

Some suggestions for upcoming videos: Dragon Force II (fan translation) and Shining Force III Ep 2&3 (fan translations and the Japanese games link with the American release's save file), Sonic Jam (worth it for the extras and Sonic World), Virtual On, Waku Waku 7, Macross Do You Remember Love, Dragon Boll [sic] Z, Gunbird, and Deep Fear.

    4:39 I actually bought a Japanese Saturn and the Action Replay. I've been buying more Japanese Saturn games than North America ones. So, it only makes sense since I have fewer NA games. Plus it makes it easier to play games that support or require a 1M or 4M expansion cart.

    I use the Action Replay Plus to play Imports. I have local game shops that sell imports but I search online as well. I avoid RPGs or any text intensive games that I couldn't be able to read. I got XMen v SF and Marvel v SF, since they are better ports then their PS1 counterparts. I also have Parodius Da and some wrestling games as well as House of the Dead since it was much cheaper than the US version. Those are among the many titles I have for my Saturn.

  • @BawesomeBurf
    @BawesomeBurf4 жыл бұрын

    An Action Replay should be a mandatory purchase regardless of which region Saturn you buy. Not only will it bypass the region lock for just about every game, but the expanded save space is a huge plus. The built in storage on the Saturn is quite small and some RPGs can fill up that space rather quick. Plus you get to mess around with cheat codes as well if that's your thing.

    The Japanese Saturn does have a different power supply from the North American Saturn. One requires a keyed power cable and the other does not. I have to assume that the internal differences are related to the voltage difference between regions: ~120v in North American; 100v in Japan. That said, I still run my Japanese Saturn directly on 120v AC.

    I'd put Fighters Megamix into any beginning Saturn collection. The early 3D graphics haven't aged as well as some of the 2D fighters, but the gameplay is awesome, it is representative of the era and has the greatest unlockable fighting character ever - the Hornet from Daytona USA. While it did have a NA release, the Japanese version is dirt cheap and a game this Japan-esy deserves to be played in Japanese.

    I have to disagree about Gunbird. I was never as enamored with that game as the YT community seems to be, but it's also so cheap on the PS in all regions it's difficult to recommend the Saturn version. Speaking of that, I would've given reasons to buy these versions over others for all of the multiplatform games like you did with X-Men Vs. Street Fighter. You can get Cyberbots on PSN, but it's inferior. Nice shout out for Assault Suit Leynos 2, good picks in general. Thanks.

    I dislike the going back and forth with other dude's and your voice in the reviews. Throws me off. It's confusing how you don't group the games of the same genre together and you shouldn't assume the masses know what a proxy service is. Explain how to use them and why they exist. You should mention that Amazon Japan accepts American credit cards. The only reason to use a proxy is if the shipping is cheaper. Telling people to feed 120V to the Saturn that expects 100V is super ignorant. There are worries to doing it. The current is 20% higher than the antique transformer expects and the circuity may suffer long term damage as a result. Terrible video all around.
