@@sunghiep Australia. As Queen of Australia, Elizabeth has every right to dismiss the entire Australian Parliament. The precedent was in 1975, when Elizabeth's henchman in Australia, Governor-General Sir John Kerr, dismissed the prime minister, and three hours later, the entire parliament.

@@sunghiep Appointment of the Prime Minister So in 1963, the right of Elizabeth II to appoint the Prime Minister was exercised. At the same time, the candidate was not elected leader in his party. So fate smiled on Alex Douglas-Home. He became the new prime minister by decree of the queen.

Yes and no they are generally private companies employed by the government though there are some civil servants among them.

They pay taxes like us, and unlike us they bring millions and millions in to the UK from oversees visitors, who want hotels, cafes, restaurants, etc etc. All unseen but valuable revenue for our country. It's about time something was done about the millions given by us to Scotland allowing free university education, glasses, dental and the list goes on.

The wealth of the Royal Family isn't £72 billion. The value of the Crown Estate property and the Royal Collection is very substantial, but it isn't the personal property of members of the Royal Family. It can't be sold by them. As I'm sure you well know. The personal wealth of the Royal Family is considerably less than the likes of Branson, Sugar and the new money billionaires.

If you ever need anymore sand for the bucket your head sits in all day,give me a shout!! Or you could spend more time working on the issue you’ve highlighted. The royal family bring in infinitely more money to this country than they take out. Maybe you should spend as much time and effort as they do and volunteer your time to help people rather than blaming everyone else!
