Hi Mark, Shaun here from North Wales. It was 26 degrees C in the poly tunnel today, but minus 2.5 degrees C last night ! And we had snow! lol
Just found you! I'm now going to spend days going through your videos 😂 In nearly 50yrs of growing veg I've never known rats to eat leeks 😮. That's a totally new concept to me. Brandywine are a great tomato, as are Sanmarzano, but not blight restistant. That's all I can grow now. We have a new super duper poly tunnel, 10m x 3m, and I'm FILLING it with tomatoes this year 😂

Hi Dawn, great to have you here 🙂 I couldn't quite believe it when I went up to the allotment and saw all the leeks had been eaten down to ground level. Setup the trail cam a coupe of days later and caught them in the act again after the carrots!! Love the sound of your new polytunnel 👍🌱👍❤
🐝Thanks for the great video 🌻 You just make me want to get more seeds 🤣

Mark, it will be interesting to see how my favorite Cherry tomato Sungold stacks up to the one Steve sent you. I grew Black Strawberry last year you are going to enjoy them. Happy Gardening from Southern California.

Sungold has set a very high bar. Tim's Taste of Paradise has a long way to go to beat that! Looking forward to trying out the Black Strawberry toms. 👍🌱👍
I like the sound of the pink brandywine tomatoes. One of my favourites to grow is True black brandywine, so i gues the pink version will be great too.
Yessss I was first to give you a like😂

Try planting mint in pots (so it doesn’t spread) around your leeks mark. The strong smell is meant to deter rats… hopefully & marigolds. Lots of new varieties there to choose. Thank you 👍🏻

I can't believe it's March. It was January yesterday. What happened?
Thank you Mark, excellent update as always 👏👏. Brodie F1 Brussels sprouts are very nice 🙂. Paul
Given rosella (cherry) last year. Fab flavour better than sun gold tbh. Pick when nearly ripe then leave on kitchen bench. Never put toms in fridge cos it ruins their flavour. Cherekee purple (beefsteak) also great flavour. Both heirlooms can save seed which is a bonus
LOL - good luck with the TTOP mate. I reckon you will agree with me 🍅🍅🍅🍅

You will love TTofP cherry tomatoes, better than Sungold, a wee bit smaller and not the splitting problem Sungold suffers. They were Wild Boar Farms new release for last season.

Must admit it is a bit of a pain when the Sungold split. I've got high hope for the TTofP! Plus if they don't work out I can always blame Steve!

Spill the varieties so we can maybe have a look and see if we want to try them too. My tomato seed stock pile is currently running at about 150 varities but am always looking for more.

Tomatoes??? Oh yes this year, I’ve got an outdoor blight resistant Roma variety called Nangina F1 that I bought last autumn as recommended by Jessie @plot_37 last year cos my Roma last year got blight!! I’m also sowing honeycomb in place of mine and yours usual fave sungold. Happy sowing.
