I lost my mum on the day before I turned seven years old, and I miss her more than anything even though that was a while ago. this song makes me think of her and makes me feel better even though it also makes me cry. (it’s been two years since I wrote this and now (in 2021) I wanted to do a bit of a update) On March nineteenth this year it will be eight years since her death. I still miss her every single day but I know that she’s in a good place. It’s still kills me every day that I didn’t get to know her better, or appreciate her more, or tell her that I loved her more than anything in the entire world. I still cry when I think about her, or hear others talk about her. But I know that she’s looking down on me, and I know that one day I will see her again. Until then, I will pray to her every night and tell her how much I love her. Thank you so so much for the support ❤️

My dog Shadow passed away today. He was the nicest dog that I've ever met. Everyday when I was bullied at school, he was there. He never gave up on me. And he was just big, furry ball of love. But then, he started throwing up. Every time he moved. We took him to the vet and they said he had an inflamed liver. It was so big that it pushed on his lungs and he had trouble breathing. And also pushed on his stomach so he kept throwing up. Today we brought him to the vet and we had to put him down. He stopped breathing as I cried and hugged him. It was the right thing to do, but it still hurts. He will be crossing the rainbow bridge without a doubt. I love you Shadow. So Much.

My grandfather died last week. I missed u always. U always knew how to make my day better. I love u forever.

I recently lost my great grandma to dementia. She was a strong woman and fought for 30 years. Everyone was always so nice to her in the nursing home and she was doing well but then she god transferred to the hospital and was put on life support. We lost her on January 25 while we were holding her hand. May God bless all of you grieving and all of those who have passed. Rest In Peace Rosalia Ferro

Same here brings me memories of me seeing my dog howling from old age seeing him bad made me sad cause he was fluffy like a wolf the vet had to put him down and he was a good boy he was big but he was like a puppy cause I always played with him so it's really hard not to cry and my cat I had since I was little died she was hit in front of me I was about to have a heart attack when I saw that but I couldn't do anything cause she didn't even last a minute and hearing her making sounds made me cry she tried to get up but then died now that made me really sad cause it was my first pet it was a tuxedo cat I had her since she was kitten

My oldest son passed away in November 2007 at the age of 17 to suicide and my last son was murdered this past November at the age of 29. They were the only two kids I had and they're both gone now, I love and miss both of them so very much

My grandma passed 4 years ago around this time and it doesn't seem like our family has been the same. She was the glue that held us all together and I miss her so much I know it hurts and with time the slowly fades, but when the lady who raised you like you were own son leaves it is hard to lose that pain. I'm sorry. Take it from someone who's been through so much loss. Family is something that can never be replaced by just anyone. It's a place where you hold the memories of the people in your life in your heart, the people you love and and the people you've lost. But know that they will always be there. Someone I've lost... I cared about really deeply. That pain will never go away, but you can live with it. Sometimes you can even feel as if they are right next to you, watching over you. Just know to spend as much time as you can with the people you have while you still can.

I lost my 8 year old nephew almost 20 years ago. I sat with him for hours in the hospital until the coroner took him so that someone would be with him. I am 46 now and was 26 then. I wanted to be the strong one for the rest of the family so I held everything together and tried not to break down when everyone else did. Still sitting here 20 years later as I do all the time by myself balling when nobody is around. I love this song and when I am alone I sing it to him. I miss my little Cookie Monster.

Dang!!! Well good for you for at least expressing it on here. I have always been the string one n the fixer n the family but suppression of feelings is horrible!!! I would say start journaling. This song has so much emotion, so much feeling. I’m not someone who cries a lot but this song made me very emotional it just holds so much emotion and makes you realize that there is a lot of sadness in you. It makes you wasn’t to unleash that sadness and makes me really emotional 😭 I was played at a family member’s funeral it carry’s so much meaning and lots of emotion. This song is something that you should use to let your emotions out. If you are going through a hard time or lost someone I pray that you will keep them in your hearts until you see them again. I have lost my husband 3 lovery sisters and my mam and dad also l lost a baby girl so l know the pain of losing the ones you love dearly but they are always in my heart and there they will remain for the rest of my life

Sad part is when the die and you don't get to say goodbye, my mom and died while I was in prison, because of my drug addiction I never got to say goodbye, I love you Momma ,and I'm sorry I hurt you

im crying now cuz I remember listening to this song last year when my great grandma passed away from a heart attack. Not long after her funeral, her husband, my great grandpa passed away from the same thing she did. I loved them so much. Their names were Lillian and Raymond (Lil and Ray for short) Lil always gave us cookies every time we visited her and Ray always made us laugh. With Lil, my mum had gone to the hospital to say goodbye, later receiving a phone call from my Auntie and her words were "Shes gone........" and then my mum broke down in tears. It was the same with Ray except she didn't get to say goodbye as he was in critical condition and no one could see him so no one got to say goodbye............ To this day I am still devastated for our loss.......... May you rest in peace Lil and Ray

To all of the close people who I have lost over the years, this song hits hard and it definitely brings me tears to my eyes. All I can say is that I will tell them all about it when I see them again. Love you all to those I lost rather it be a friend or a family member, to this day my heart aches for them but I know that I got to keep pushing forward for them. R.I.P to those I lost…there’s a candle burning bright for me to remember them till the day I get to see them again.

It reminds me of my aunt who passed away last year.she was a second Mother for me. She left behind 8 children and 15 grandchildren. She was only 65.

My dog passed away in 2014. He was the cutest little tiny dog. He always had problem but we never payed attention to the negative side. He was so cute. We had to out him down because he was in too much pain. We couldnt bare see him in pain. RIP Eddie ❤️
