😢I’m so sorry for your loss & heart pain.🙏 This year on March 12th, is the 25th deathaversary of my Beautiful eldest daughter, who left me at the young age of one day shy of being 16.5 years old. I’ve come to know how Blessed I was, for GOD taking her Instantly, before she could’ve even known what was happening, in a freak accident, where literal an inch or two, made the difference between life & death.My father had died of a rare virus a year earlier in March,& my Mom died right after the New Year ball dropped on 1998-My comment being that the year could only get Better from its start….until my daughter died just 2.5 months later. I was also Blessed with my Grandmother, who I’d talked with Very frequently about my Mom, her daughter, the Grandmother of my children-all the different dynamics, only to then add My daughter, her Great Granddaughter, my children’s Big Sis, to the frequent tears & laughs we shared. Some have actually asked how I could feel Blessed over the loss of my daughter, & it’s bc I’ve witnessed, & known the Hell of watching children slowly die, children who’ve met Horrific Nightmarish deaths through the hands of Pure Evil,& those parents & even siblings who’ve gone to Their graves, never Knowing what, where, ifs of their child who disappeared. Nobody can even Begin to know the Lifelong nightmares of those parents & family, including Me, who has just the one. I was also wise enough to know my Grief would be with me through my last breath on earth,& didn’t try to fit it in a tidy box of time I’ve seen so many do, even over elders who’ve died, & this by No uncertainty, means it doesn’t SUCK EVERY SINGLE DAY. I wake to Landis’ High School Senior picture, an event she never made it to in her life here,& her picture is the last thing I look at before turning my light out at night. This Christmas, the day that started the spiraling of Loss in my life, with my Mom getting sick, my youngest, now 36, had her Amazing fiancé open a gift I was told was for me(on FaceTime after they’d opened everything),but it had to stay there(they live in another state than me),& he held up a little reindeer pajama outfit!!! No doubt my Mom, Grandmother, & my daughter had a hand in GOD answering my longtime prayers, at a Very Hard milestone in my life!!! Good things Do happen, even to those silently living with holes in their hearts, but Nobody should Have to be silent bc of other people being uncomfortable at the mention of our Loved Ones’ names!!! Another thing GOD has Blessed me with-friends I can talk with!!! “Gone But Never Forgotten” is the lousiest unintentional lie put forth by people in the moment of death & funerals. Know that we who have no label, like Orphans do, aren’t looking for pity, attention, or Wise Words-We are only remembering our loved ones!!!🙏

I lost my good friend on 7th July 2021. So painful was his death that when I first heard and listened to this song icouldn't control the tears and i just allowed the tears to just flow. I heard this perfect song right after it's release in late May, 2015. My son Christopher Ian Jones ,age 14 had just died May 5, 2015. He had a heart defect that was never discovered. He was running in the yard and collapsed. This song is what I play while thinking about him. He was a beautiful , smart and warm caring young man who never met a stranger. My mom passed away in 2016 and when she passed away this song was one of the songs I listen to. I miss her so much and when it says that "Why'd did you have to leave so soon? Why'd you have to go? Why'd you have to leave when I needed you the most? Cause I don't really know how to tell you without feeling much worse I know you're in a better place". And the sad part is she did leave when I needed her the most and that night I thought she was gonna come back home from the hospital but she didn't and I didn't even get to say I LOVE YOU or give her a hug to her one last time. But I think about her each and every day and yes we had our ups and downs but if I could go back I would redo everything. I would tell her I LOVE YOU and I would've gave her a hug. But now I know she's in a better place now and I'm happy that she is. LOVE YOU MOM♥️♥️♥️ CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN

I remember hearing this song quite a while ago but I did not really listen to the lyrics. Today(3/20/21) I finally listened to this song. These lyrics are very profound and powerful for someone who has not seen a close friend for a long time. I can thinks of several of my friends for whom these words are very appropriate. Great sound with these lyrics. Charlie's other song, "One call away", is another song that relates to the same feeling or emotion as this song but in a different way.

I love this song because it help me to remember my father and mother who left long time ago when I was 2 month. It give me all strength that I will see my parents who are in better place

Thou I was small wen my parents left me , but I feel their presents and tears rolling down my cheers whenever I play this song. Indeed I will tell them how life as been though with me when I meet them again, rest on great legends

Heard this song for the first time last night on radio expecting to hear Wiz Khalifa come in but without Wiz Khalifa init. All Charlie Puth. I thought of friends but nothing came up. Listen to it tonight again and read comments; started tearing up. Then my dad came up; teared up harder. My worst fear was losing him, my rock. He passed late 2018 66 yo. Im happy he went when he did. I think of him nearly everyday... takes something like this song and the tragically beautiful stories to get me going. Thank you for sharing & sorry for your hard losses!

This is such a beautiful song & very kithartic. I remember hearing this exact version on the radio like 2 days after one of my closest aunts unexpectedly passed away at just 59 yrs. old & now when I hear this song it makes me think about her & how much she is missed & loved ❤.
