    ​​@@johark He knew it was still unsafe, he just saw a money bag and a chance to be on TV. He admits that he knew it was unsafe in other videos. He's lucky more people didn't die on the slide. Even the close calls should've had him behind bars, like a girl breaking her jaw because of the ride, countless injuries from the slide, the seatbelts not staying connected for the entirety of the ride, etc., the list sadly goes on.

    Gregory Chri Wrong. There was test footage of dummies on the slide who did not end well. They opened the ride anyway. Carelessness led to that poor boy’s death. It is his fault.

    Jutkuppe Did you not read my previous comment? They knew the risks and went forth with it anyway. An accident is something unexpected. Whether or not it was their intention, it cost a little boy’s life. Had they run further test runs, this tragedy could’ve been prevented. Oh and before you start arguing how an accident can be expected, look at the dictionary, not the internet, for the definition.

    They almost never lock someone up for something public like this, Look up Famous Fires. You could directly kill hundreds at your bar/restaurant, and it's almost setting precedent to do ANY time at all. Maybe a few years, at most.

    Like the John Landis trial in the 80s, the prosecution overshot their charges. Had they charged a lesser offense, they would've convicted him, but Landis went free and this jagoff will too for the same reason.

They also had to go after Landis for money he owed Harvey, IL to drive through the Dixie Square, which was closed, but parts of it were being used. He destroyed it and didn't even bother with basic cleanup. You can see tire tracks from a 74 Dodge all over the flooring. Anyone new here, Landis caused an actor (Vic Morrow) and 2 kids to be decapitated/crushed by a helicopter during Twilight Zone Movie 1987. There is video, but it's not the best quality.

    The boy's father knew about assumed risk. It's an assumed risk to drive or permit your child to ride in a car...... Defense will properly point out thousands of successful rides......it's sad but it happens....also defense will argue the boy unsecured safety belts.....

    You can't get away with it as easily as that. There had been a number of injuries before the tragic death of the child. Trying to blame it on the boy's father is contemptible. The blame is 100% on the makers and owners of this awful ride.

    That's bull. Know how I know? Because seat belts show damage on impact. He wasn't a little kid, he wasn't that stupid. Plus, there was KNOWN problems with both that raft in particular AND their seat belts/boats looking worn or not working right. The parents will win in court. Decapitation. Yeah. Serious death.
