Well that's why I do these videos, I'm glad everybody thinks that because the final result is going to surprise everyone. I designed a lot of these episodes around the term Warped perception, or at least I try my best to, sometimes they are just genuine curiosities. But if you look up in the sky on any thing but a clear sunny day, you will see that air does in fact take on different forms depending on the conditions, and air moving under a lot of volume and pressure does very interesting things from a fluid dynamics perspective. Let me give you an example, if you see a fighter jet Bank a sharp turn, you see the vortices form in the low pressure regions of the wing crevices, that will happen no matter what the temperature outside or the humidity level. Because the flow Dynamics are way outside the parameters of regular clear atmospheric air that's moving at low velocity and equal pressure. (Edited because autocorrect didn't always suck so bad.)

Curious to know if the thrust from one of your hobby turbo jet engines is able to turn an actual turbo sufficiently to provide boost to an internal combustion engine. Next project idea.
@roachwerks3043

Energy in must be greater than energy out. So for example a 2hp aux engine is not going to create more than 2hp
@nothingtoseehere4026
2 жыл бұрын
@@roachwerks3043 Correct, but static thrust doesn't measure work (hp). I'm betting those 100 lbs of thrust engines are a bit more significant. Adding fuel to the internal combustion engine to match the boost might get tricky. That's why I said "significant" boost.
@gadnuk7159
2 жыл бұрын
@@roachwerks3043 the energy the turbo uses to compress the air will not be greater than the energy output of the exhaust used to turn it, but the energy “created” by the turbo actually comes from the extra fuel that can be added to the higher density air. So in reality the increased hp is from the fuel, not the turbo. As long as the jet engine’s exhaust provides enough wnergy to significantly increase intake pressure, more than 2hp can be gained.

Bro this video does a GREAT job of showing how genius the intercooler is. I never realized it until I paused the video and saw how it worked. Awesome.
Remember the deal when we use to use water injection & I see folks asking about colored smoke, but u can’t do that because of damage that it could do to ur throttle body & other what nots so out of the discharge of the turbo u could hook up a water jet (window washer pump or something like that) & inject that way & see what happens, idk I’m not a rocket scientist or a smart ass but I’m thinkin about crazy things all the time & ur whole concept is spot on & good luck to ya sir .
With some smoke to see the flow would be crazy 😂😂😂
Really love the next level build quality. Great editing that CNC / CAD montage!
You’re a true genius and visionary. Kudos
Be careful driving when your turbos are not able to build pressure on the intake side. I did that for only a couple mins. Turbos over-sped and immediately burned the bearings up and the turbos had to be replaced. Wasn’t pretty. 😂 actually wasn’t my fault. A mechanic at the dealership forgot to tighten the clamps on the intercooler lines after some work. Popped right off. Luckily the dealership covered the $13k repair bill.

@TsunauticusIV
2 жыл бұрын
@@aj2858 if you have no pressure building to maintain the turbo speed… it will continue to gain speed… since it’s still being pushed by the exhaust side. Turbos will overspeed and can burn the bearing out in short order. This was the ONLY change to the vehicle and was the only possible cause. If you still do t get it… google “turbo overspending”. It’s known as the “turbo killer”. If you STILL don’t understand… I’m afraid that you are in possession of a severely underdeveloped orbitofrontal cortex and there is no hope for you. 😂 have a stellar day bud.

i was watching cutting edge engineering austrailia (i think) and he just bought an old swiss precision machine and i was watching it and i saw the spindle wobble. he explained about how a dril moves the tool to the work and a mill moves the work to the tool. i watched a gresham lecture yesterday about cycloids. not saying any of it adds up or match but was thinking about how that rolex mill cuts a perfect circle when it is spinning in place yet you introduce what wants cut a little along the x all the while you are adjust the y. jag out rectangle the hole but cuts so sweet?
@NGC1433

It's a question of resolution. At which pixel count does circle becomes a circle on a pixelated screen. And the tool is not square itself, it cannot "jag oit a rectangle" even if you want it to.
