See and be seen. COLight LED Auxiliary Lights

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I was sent a set of LED auxiliary lights to try out on my motorcycle by COLIGHTS. These lights are LED flood lights rated at 25 watts each. The lights have several modes to include two strobe modes. These lights have added visibility to my bike not only in low light conditions but to drivers. I used a Zana International light mounting bracket on my KTM 390 Adventure. I wasn't sure what to expect but after the installation was I was really pleased.

Hi Matt, I’ve been subscriber for a year now since I purchased my 2023, 390 adventure. I have installed the T-Rex crash bars on my bike and the auxiliary lights install perfectly inside them and they are located pretty much in the same position that yours are. I have a cheaper version of the lights that you have. Mine have the dual LED so it is white light yellow fog light. I like the lights on my bike. They are quite bright. I am in South Florida, and 10 minutes from the Everglades. I got up close and personal with a good size alligator the other night and I could record it clearly with my phone, because I pointed the auxiliary lights at it. Thank you for continuing to do KTM 390 adventure content.

Thanks for subscribing. Your light setup sounds really good. Not so sure about the gators though. More 390 Adv content will be coming, just a bit more spread out. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.

Hey, you reached 10K!! Subscribers that is!! Your 390 is very well sorted Matt. I use the snap on amber covers for daylight running. That is a lot of bang for the buck light. Good on you my man and happy trails!!

I just finished the install on mine last week- just some smaller ones off of Amazon, and a bracket kind of like yours off of Aliexpress, and switch from Amazon. I ran both my heated grips and the aux lights through a relay. Works great, especially off road at night. Another great vid!

Nice setup especially going through the relay. I was surprised how much of a difference these lights made. Should have done it a long time ago.

...👍for the install....I feel "naked and afraid" without aux driving lights on every bike....just put some on my 310GS and run them on all big bikes too....daytime visual is the main thing....night driving they are a must...!!!

I can see how I would feel better riding at night with these, even though I try to avoid it. I noticed during the day cars get out of my way when I have these on. Cheers.

I have mine on the crash bars with the thinking of a larger triangle of light for better perception from the other drivers. Have them tucked inside so they haven't been damaged from my many drops. Thanks for your videos. Best DIY motorcycle content on KZread.😀

Thanks for feedback. Great plan for the bigger visibility triangle. I have noticed cars are getting out of my way when these lights are on, bonus.

@ 5:43 you got the attention of the neighbors dog. LOL! And seriously I have been looking for auxiliary lights for my 390 for a couple of week now and I'm glad you posted this vid. Really helps with my decision on which lights to purchase. Thanks Matt!

Glad it was helpful. I was surprised just how bright these are. I noticed cars are getting out of my way when I have these on. Maybe it blinds them in the daylight. Rather be seen. Cheers.

Adventure tech has a pretty reasonable set also. You would still have to deal with a mounting bracket though. Every Tom , Dick, and Harry drives their trucks and SUVs with their fogs lights on now so I would not feel too bad about burning them day and night. One question about the 390. I thought the aux spare connections were in the headlight not under the seat? Good review!

Yes, there is an auxiliary connection under the light. It was easier for me to tap into the relay I had installed. The auxiliary connection has a high enough load rating to operate the lights if you wire them in there.

Can they be flipped to the top of the mount?

I don't see why not. Just need to tighten them enough not move around.
