This video shows an ABAQUS tutorial on the strange buckling response of a thin walled cylinder. Ten distinct buckling modes (profiles) were observed from the simulation and the plot generated from the simulation. The video shows what is possible during buckling behaviour of such a material and justifies the importance of exciting every possible buckling mode to better understand the buckling response of such a cylinder.
