i thought it was a good video! fun to debunk online legends and myths. But if some care and deep creativity (and some tools)weird techniques similar to these would work.

Nice videos. Pins and paperclips work well on wafer tumblers. Putty could be viable for copying a warded key if you make a cast to file a blank from.

Ok so the tracing method works, I’ve done it. Use a set of space and depth keys to decode the cuts and either manufacture a key with a code machine or use the space and depth keys on the duplicator.

I'VE made keys from tracing the original keys before. You need a set of calipers to measure the depth of the cuts on your tracing and use the tracing to get the spacing down, the use a file and patience to get it done. but I have been a locksmith for 40 years and in that time I have done some different things to get a job done for a customer when some of my equipment has failed at the wrong time.

I have a friend who used to do this with a grinding wheel not even with a regular machine he used to take your key for a second punch it into a foam cup A few times and then cut it out with a grinding wheel in a drill he did this many times and practice makes perfect

FYI-Sentry has redesigned against mag attack. Also the OLD simplex models do not require that big of a magnet a 50lb. pull model will open it just fine!

I once milled down the sides of three Medeco original blanks (JET 6AIR NS) after cutting the bittings to match that of the public housing Biaxial keys and all but the first copy works. I used the JET8000 and a monster locking pliers for that, never have I improvised so much.

It is far too much effort compared to a bump key and kicking in the door. The plastic lock needs to be tensioned in the clockwise direction. Not being able to pick a pin tumbler lock with Bobby pins or paper clips. Challenge accepted 👍

Lol for sure a bump key is way easier..... If your going to pick a lock with a bobby pin or paper clip, your best chance is with a camlock. Anyway thx for watching!

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but wouldn't the magnet go to the left side since the fence moves to the left when unlocking? Great channel and content.
