Not a bootlicker myself, but even the main cop said numerous times "my lieutenant said.. " in the video while responding to the unhinged security guy. I honestly can't blame guy for being cautious in this day and age. He's trying to do the right thing. Lieutenant told him govt property is public so the person with camera can film. Security lunatic told him they can't. Rock and a hard place. In the end, he stalled until someone higher than him stepped in to correct the situation before he took any action, despite crazy security insisting filmer be removed. This is good policing. If you have even 0.01%0 doubt: ask first and arrest later.

In the original video, the security guard sees the supervisor pulling up and turns into a coward. The second he saw him pull up in his car he made a very important fake phone call and disappears. When he finally approached the supervisor he never spoke to him the way he was speaking to the first officer.

I am unclear about the rules on recording, but I worked for a year as a security guard at a hospital. A security guards' primary duty is to observe and report. A security guard has no more authority than does a civilian. If he felt he was right about the recording policy, and the man refused to leave, calling the cops was the proper thing to do. If the cop was for allowing it, he could explain the rules he's to enforce calmly. After that, concede to the officer's authority, allow the recording, but get the officers name and badge #. He could then have forwarded this issue up to his supervisor for clarification. He'd get clarification, the cop would get clarification, and he'd still have a job. I think the cop did well, he kept a calm head about him and thought things through. The guy with the camera was there to cause trouble and push everyone's buttons. I despise people like that. It is not easy being in security/law enforcement. It's a very stressful environment with a lot of responsibility. I see all these comments bashing the security guard and the cop. Yet when the barbarian is at their door or some is acting a fool to them at a business they are at, they'll be the first ones to call the cops or complain security is not doing there job. Law enforcement/Correctional work/Security work, they are all thankless jobs.

I watched the video from the LEO’s body cam, then read the comments. One of the viewers contacted the Mayor, who then contacted the Security company. I’m not sure if he was fired, but he is no longer allowed to work at any county facility. Good job Mr Mayor!!
