Really enjoyed your video! I have a children’s coloring book that has VERY basic cute coloring pictures. There’s even a beach ball on a page by itself! Point is, it has over 200 pages of really cute and simple pictures that I have used for children’s quilts.

@@HandiQuilter this works really well on solid fabrics, but I have trouble with markings showing on print fabrics,...even using the blue chalk. .I guess using the paper is the only method that will work.

It also works to determine how to resize blocks. If you want a 12 " block instead of a 10" block, it will tell you how much larger to make the blocks.

This is great, but while watching I was thinking, instead of stitching just the holes into the paper, why not just quilt through it? I mean then you would need more paper for every design... but cut out the pouncing step altogether....

You can keep the chalk from bouncing off by lightly spraying with hair spray. This works well when you stencil before putting on frame.

The size you want divided by the size you have. Then, multiply the decimal answer by 100 to get the percentage.

Thank you - great tutorial! Thank you!!! I’ve seen several people say that they never use the blue straight - they mix it half and half with white.

What foot do you recommend to use for stencils? If the idea is to be able to look ahead I find the ruler foot gets in the way and depending on the direction I am going the open toe foot too. I found the Glide foot to distort the line if you try to look through it. I have been trying to use the microfoot but am not getting my stitch lines as smooth as I would like (I need more practice!). What speeds and stitch lengths would you recommend? Many thanks and greetings from Germany.

The copy machine idea would be great if one didn't live out in the boonies and worked from home...where there are no copy machines.
