They are alive because as wonda explained: some people are kept in the ferry for days, months, even YEARS. So that could be the reason they are over 200 years old

Time also moves differently in the sea of the damned. Years could pass in the sea of the damned while only seconds pass in the real world

I remember you mentioned in an older video that Gold Hoarders could be under a curse that is turning them into the Golden Skeletons, which could be another justification that Gold Hoarders greed sent Jim to betray the crew. They are becoming less human.

The reason they're still alive is (I think) because they both died after the Shroudbreaker sank and the Ferry was able to come to the Devil's Roar to collect their souls, and they spent centuries serving on the Ferry before being allowed to come back. That makes most sense to me.

The box of wondrous secrets actually contains Falcore's mix tape. That's how Jim lost his insanity...

Nope, different skeleton.

It would be cool if when you have that chest on your ship a team mate randomly would start attacking your crew and you had to kill them and send them to the ferry man. Add it please!:)
