Secrets of the Chiricahua Mountains - V22E9
In this overnight adventure in the Jeep, I explore deeper into the Chiricahua Mountains of southern Arizona. The episode kicks off late in the after, and I seek out a lovely and idyllic campsite nestled in the woods, next to a babbling stream. For dinner, I enjoy standard venture4wd fare. The next day, I set off to explore the surrounding forest roads and am met with extraordinary scenery, a few dead ends, and a little bit of history.

I enjoy all your videos and photography; epic adventures, wrenching, etc. Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching. Stay safe.
As a mechanic who started watching u before I owned a jeep never though I would I just got one cheap from an old man.. I'm amazed by how reliable that 3.6 has been to you and how she's still sounds good no lifter ticks or anything
That's what I love about your camping channel just real basic camping food items burnt grilled cheese sandwiches ,black hotdogs and crusty burgers there's no fancy rack of lamb, casseroles or salads being prepared at camp Rock on! your a boss! 😄
I love this area and have been going there ever since I was a kid. We used to take our kids up there camping, too. This is a favorite place for people that live in one of the nearby towns. It's really beautiful in August when we have had a good rainy season and it gets really lush and green. Be aware the area is prone to torrential flooding during the rainy season that turns the creek into a raging river that can even flood some of the campgrounds near the creek. Great video!
You put out great videos. It doesn't matter backyard or long distance. I enjoy your work. Thanks
Another great little adventure. Please keep everything coming our way - short adventures, epic adventures, wrenching on the Rover, etc.

Definitely, I'm watching all of it
The old historic ranch was also originally camp Rucker. It is only preserved because the camp rocker was taken over by a homesteader who cared for it all the way up into this 1970s. Camp Rucker was an outpost during the Apache wars. Lieutenant record drowned trying to help another soldier who had been swept away in White River during a monsoon flood. White River was also renamed.
Not a bad video. Miss the week long videos of years past. Been watching since just before you rolled your Jeep on it's side in Canada. Please get shirts in 4 and 5 XL. Not all of your viewers are skinny minis. CHEERS from Colorado
Chris, that was fun!
Nice video Chris! Don’t worry about your footage. Just let it rip, it’s yours to sculpt.
Awesome, thanks Chris.
As always, spending some time in Orangie with Chris is a delight. You are a good guy that shares places never to be experienced without you. So happy to have been along for the ride through your entire course. Happy trails to you, until we meet again, virtually.
Love it. Thanks Chris!
I really need to start exploring further south - beautiful country - thanks for sharing it with us all Chris.
Mexican Whip-poor-will singing during the hot dog scene. Nice one
Like this whatever category it is. Nice drive, thanks
I absolutely love this new longer once or twice a month style videos You talking about what you do is actually very calming and it's nice plus your cam work is fantastic... Keep up the great work, my man It's always my favorite KZread series
Glad to see your still producing videos , I can understand not wanting to constantly come up with new ideas . I look forward for more content especially if it’s going to be longer trips . I know that Shannon is working , but I miss her contribution to the shows .
Hello Chris, Life changes us, our health and relationships change our priorities… Thinking back I think yours was the first “off road” channel I subscribed to as its just enjoyable to tag along on your adventures seeing new places I’ll probably never get to myself… Several of the KZread channels I watch have changed over the years, but that’s to be expected as people age and mature. Four years ago I thought I needed a Jeep, I still don’t have one and probably never will as I’ve been priced out of the market. Although I do like to get out and explore new places I don’t think it’ll ever be to the level you’ve done… Keep sharing your adventures local or long distance, even the vehicle repair and home maintenance are fun… Ratings and comments will dictate what works and what doesn’t but in the end you have to please yourself. If it ceases being fun for you then change is inevitable.
Like all your adventures no matter overnight or longer.
I enjoy all types of videos, even the install videos. 🤙 Keep them coming.
Thanks Chris. Safe Travels
Howzit Chris, Jes & Eve here ..we from Big Island Hawaii. Really love da videos great job. Jubtink u folks might check out Quartzite Arizona soon. Let us know ALOHA 🤙
This is Paul from your Patreon subscription and thank you for revisiting one of my favorite spots. My URSA minor is scheduled for install at mainline overland in July and the 1st trip I take out west will be to Portal and Chiricahua for a whole week.
Hey chris, been a minute since i’ve seen your vids. You’re in my neighborhood now. I’m between bisbee and douglas. Alot of cool trails around the mountains here and as you have seen many are primarily for side by sides so you will be pinstriped. Safe travels !
Nice vaultboy!

Is that the leadership bobblehead?
Good am Chris, good to start Saturday am watching your adventures.
You never let me down. Interesting places. Something different. Sure is beautiful country there. You can get lost forever down there. Good stuff. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Excellent Chris! Well done .👌 Lots of off road Jeep porn.👍 You were near the site where Johnny Ringo is buried. And not too far from where Geronimo surrendered. Lots of history in those parts. I’m working on my old Landy in a similar fashion to the way you are. No big restoration, just fix what needs to be fixed and make it reliable and solid. Thanks for another great post.
Thanks again 👍🍺✔️
Another great video Chris!! I'm headed up to the UP of Michigan next week for a 5 night camping trip :) Near Munising where you have been a few years ago.
What a great episode. I absolutely love following 2 tracks up into canyons like that in Arizona. Finding a running stream to camp next to is the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing!
Love all your videos Chris. I finally recognize the figure on your dash, been there for quite a while irc. Only recognize it because of a recent show we were watching on Netflix. You must of been into the game back when it first came out
Wow. How long were those hotdogs cooking? Lol. Another great video. Thank you.
You bring the driving experience into your videos. So glad you are back with Orangie.
Chris thanks for sharing your voyages. Sadly due to health and location i cannot walk along but do enjoy your travels. do always be safe but continue the explorations
Nice, loved this one just like the last video. How cool is it to be so close to off road areas!
Another great video Chris! Giving me lots of places to visit in Southern AZ!
I enjoyed this very much, thanks
I traveled the spur you backed out on a week or two before you were there. I continue past where you stopped in my colorado zr2. I went to the edge of the nf where the locked gate was without any trouble.
I have that exact same green plaid shirt. LOVE the videos.
Take care & Enjoy! ✌️
Great video Chris! Keep it up!
Hotdogs!
Too bad Mexico isn't on your radar, they have some amazing country near to you, but I imagine there'd be big safety concerns.
Great Chris!
How about a trip in OK 4WD grenadier with the Alu CAb roof conversion

Have you ever been to Hualapai mountain. Been asking around and can’t find anybody who has camped there. Might need to make the trip and see.

I have, it's a pretty nice area.
I am a South African. I love your channel, but I cannot understand why you would use gas to cook when you have a fire. We braai (barbecue) every chance we get.
Where can I get a hat like the one you’re wearing? thanks
No ketchup was poured on hotdogs and Heinz shares dropped three dollars. Coincidence?
Really, no hoodoo jokes, Chris?
Yah, you lost me as interested. Sorry.
