One thing I find a bit hard is to think about the implications before responding in a very dynamic environment, or in the middle of the process when you need to quickly analyse an respond. How a political savvy person must be ready for this? Your answer is very valuable. Tural

Thanks for asking! (Sorry I missed your comment...). One answer is: buy time. You can buy time by asking questions of clarification, re-stating the query (and asking if you got it right), or even ask for a few minutes to organize a helpful response. Does that address what you are talking about?
