here's one warning for farming with seaweeds, cause I do that. Make a lightning rod, seaweeds will attack you if a lightning hits them, I know from experience. Also if a shark comes in, despawn him, they are more likely to spawn cause of the ocean trawlers and they will target your seaweeds

They should've added the Master Bait from Terraria on the collab

truffle worm that instantly spawns malbatross

Trawls on top of Malbasstross pool or a cluster of seaweeds or even just in the Great Tree biome (I always call em "water grove" just feels right) will net you a seasons worth of fish

Can confirm, I learned something new today along with a slight interest in fishing again

If you want to miss the minigame, throw between or on top of thr fish group and start pulling the bait towards you, once fish get interested, it will chase bait to nible it and lose interest and the cycle repeats

I rarely fish in the ocean since the other food source is good enought. But i still love to learn new game mechanic. Love your video ❤.

The most useless fish: the one you see after breaking any musical seashell. It can not be interacted with and will only stay for one moment.

Finally someone exposing the secret. In public server I get called a hacker because I always do the instant catch trick to bring ton of fishes. Also when a fish is interested they NEVER give up the "chase" so feel free to reel all the way. (pretty sure that's why big bait have bigger "fish interest" radius upon casting).

I still have never tried to fish in the ocean in dont starve together, and I watched the other guide as well. I might give it a try the next time I play

My two cents for what it's worth :: I don't know who Exo is and I don't really want to watch his videos, so if you ever feel bad about doubling down on his guides... don't, haha. Although I like that you focus on the really weird stuff that no one else talks about, it's kind of a bummer to think you might have skipped out on some interesting fishing stuff just because it was in another person's video.

aww im glad to hear that. I guess it can work to have different flavours of explaining things Thats why there are different teachers for the same subjects.

Also I know I heard that there are some differences between the different colored sea weeds, but I can't quite remember what were they. Think some throw pollen more often or something like that

It's amazing to me just how much stuff is in this game - I barely survive till summer and usually die there. I love fishing in every game but the times i've died or almost died freezing as wurt to grab the atlantic cod (Winter fish) is crazy, I'll definitely be using this trick to not freeze doing the minigame. Btw What mod are you using in order to show interest and fish slack like that?

its based on the type of bait the fish likes plus unloading a baited trawler gives a 50 percent chance of catching automatically
