If the suit fits it fits. There are so many different body types which can make it difficult for stock suits to fit everyone. But if it fits, it fits.

Also get Adeles of Hollywood to make you a beautiful velvet Santa hat.To impress the kids purchase a Victorian Santa suit for the long open over coat.

Do you wear the Halco velveteen suit? I've also noticed Rubies has velveteen for cheap, but I don't trust their products. The plush definitely bleeds.

The Halco Velveteen is the best semi budget mass produced suit out there. It's far better than Rubie's products no matter the price bracket. The fur however should be upgraded some seasons down the line.

Could you tell me which exact suit you chose (the velveteen one) as a basis?

love your video, well done, as we get further into our portrayal look at custom suits, have been portraying the jolly old man for 15 years I finally broke down and bought suit from Sant and Co, LLC, made of wool, not really a costume like the bag ones, a true suit, lined with cool mesh, brass zipper , vented, stirrups to keel legs in boot, pockets in pants etc. Check them out.

The only problem with this costume is that it is not commercialized, the version of "THE SANTA CLAUSE (1)" is but it is less beautiful.

I liked the first one more, it was more unique and inventive. I'm more into traditional/old time santa suits anyway, since the american version never looked like a real suit to me. Unpractical and not functional.

I have indeed, and it's a good backstory. I personally prefer something along the lines of Arthur Christmas but slightly modified.

Santa wears velvet, wool and fur. He is a Nordic legend and dresses for cold weather. No polyester Santa Suits. Go real, go big, or go home. Nobody enjoys a discount Santa.

Depending on one's budget, I find it perfectly alright to start off with something that doesn't break the bank. In the long run, those who want to continue doing this on a higher level than most, will consider better quality fabric and gear.
