Also, try Thick coating Brush Set. Or another 'traditional hand-drawing' brushes for different apps.

+ actually, the plain "●" brush is great for everything! Particularly for drawing specific forms and a clean sketch. That way, you can achieve better anatomy, and so on.

added: ty for pin! I'm glad if someone will use these brushes. I personally find myself using Thick coating Brush set all the time, as it's good for rich coloring, no other brushes could do as good as these for me (for painting grass, creating BG, for anime-style art, etc.). Specifically one brush Paint Normal/flat. Later, if you want to get that textured look, you can use other dedicated brushes on top of in (in case you would use this brush). But I'm not sure in this step for you if you want to achieve Matchach's style, as I didn't try to draw in that style. In this case, better try it in practice. So, try everything and find what you like, in the end that's what really matters for each artist, and person.

Can I argue that, you'll never be able to completely copy someone's art, only emulate it to the best of your ability. To any beginner artist: copy your favourite artists art. Draw what makes you want to improve. You'll find your own artstyle along the way. And, there's nothing wrong with wanting a similar artstyle to someone else.

Some small details I’ve noticed too - In her color composition, even if the piece has a clearly dominant color, I’ve noticed that she adds details in complementary colors around the characters to highlight them - When coloring, I’ve noticed that one of the reasons why matcha’s art is so colorful is because she adds the terminator even to objects, which make them pop out. *Small idea of what the terminator is for people who don’t know: it’s that line of red when the skin goes from light to shadow, it’s caused by the color of the blood, but matcha adds it everywhere

  • @Eico._

Perfectly parsed! I love that you're not only paying attention to the big steps but also to the details at the same time. No offense, but I'd like to give you some advice, you did a good job analyzing the art style, but could spend more time on anatomy afterward. It seems to me that you're still lacking in the portrayal of the human body, so maybe you could learn about the human body before you analyze the style.

Another lovely artist that hates lineart (I'm not really an artist, I just try to draw really well cause its fun when you can make nice pieces like the people you admire) Btw this study was really helpful, with digital art that is. Btw hope you get a better mic. or maybe I need a new laptop....
