@@NitpickingNerds it can be tough to play in Aminatou. You need her to be out to be good, can't do it at instead speed which is what makes it crazy in roon, and even with all that if your aminatou dies (very likely) and you've passed it they can steal it when you cast

Haze of rage is underrated it appears in 1472 decks on edhrec despite being a strong enabler for spell slinger strategies only 1r with a buyback of 2. It doesn't matter what the effect, but it gives +1/+0 for tokens. Because it has storm and buyback, it can just go infinite with storm-kiln artist with a storm ount of 3 or 1 if your commander is veyran. Also, this card is super accessible as a $0.25 uncommon. It a should be way higher less than 1% of decks and probably goes into most decks that have storm-kiln artist or archmage emeritus.

FUN FACT: You used to be able to check out puzzles from your local library. This has fallen by the wayside since the introduction of television, but at the beginning of the 20th century it was a very popular form of family entertainment to rent or borrow a puzzle for a weekend. A lot of libraries still let you do that so check out your local library! As for Cherry's question about missing puzzle pieces: I dunno man what about people who don't return library books or rewind tapes (back in the day)? Ya fine them and use the fine to buy a replacement. Simples.

Also I think some of the reason these cards don't get played is there salt/online play annoyance. For example Chimera is a bit misserable to play in an online format because you have exchange of cards and its also kinda of a stacks peice. I only run it in my stacks deck and thats also because it synergizes with enchantment tribal.

I dont think sadistic hypnotist is under played, I think most people realize how oppressive it can be and just dont play it in a non competitive setting.

Okay, so expensive thought for the puzzle pieces... Each piece has an NFC chip inside, each piece has it's own code (from 1-500 or however many pieces there are). When the rental puzzle comes back, they can just put the box on a detector (or whatever the correct name is) and it can read all the NFC data and check that everything is there. It would be able to see what piece(s) are missing, i.e. piece #367 is missing; then the company can just get the piece that is missing from a spares box or something, add it back in and have a small charge to the customer who lost the piece. I'll wait for my cheque in the post....

Perplexing chinera is a miserable card to play with, and against. I used to run it in an aminatou deck which is probably the best shell for it. Love all the rest of the suggestions tho for sure. Frenzied saddlebrute is so good

Actually I own most of the cards and in most scenarios I think they are not worth it due to cmc, effect, synergy, etc. I can only see most of these cards in janky commander decks. Ex. Sadistic hypnotist is an excellent card however it's 5 cmc and usually is the perfect target for a counter or removal, I only run it on a Tergrid deck and would rarely use it in aristocrats since there are much better effects that actually win the game. Perhaps it's just me but I wasn't convinced to put any of the cards in my decks, any feedback would be appreciated.

I just started magic a month ago, and all the people I play with at the local shop literally destroys me and then they get frustrated cause I don’t what my cards or their cards do. I want to get into the game but I have no idea what cards to buy or how to build a deck. The only person that helps me is the lady behind the counter who told me buy a Precon I like and tune it up. Yet, I feel like she just wants me to spend money at her shop
