Organ waitlists go by time on the list. (You get a percent of a point per day.) However, dialysis counts as time. So start dialysis even if it is one visit. The people managing the waitlist will backdate your waitlist to the dialysis start date. Source- I managed the UNOS waitlists.

These stories are crazy, man we living in hell

  • @lwabel1

Joe, my dad’s body was stolen by Megan Hess, owner of Sunset Mesa Funeral Home-the owner- director/crematorium owner and owner of a body broker business all under the same roof, cut his body apart and sold the piece-meal parts for profit. I was clear at the time of my father’s death that he did NOT want to be a donor-either organ or tissue. There IS a big difference which most people do not understand. SO BE AWARE WHAT YOU AGREE TO WHEN YOU RENEW YIUR STATE DRIVERS LICENSE! So, the funeral home over at least 15 years handed families what they assumed were the cremated remains of their loved ones when in truth the funeral home director and her mother by crude means (power tools and hand saws) cut up the bodies of our loved ones. And they did this at a time in our lives when we were the most vulnerable. They then packed the bodies on ice and sold them to U.S. companies, as well as shipped them to countries like Saudi Arabia. This experience has been a long painful education on how alive the business of stealing bodies still is- and will remain- until both state and federal government are on board and commit laws to the over-site of funeral homes and penalties increase for what are now misdemeanor crimes to felonies. Slapping hands does nothing to detour crime, especially crimes fueled by billions of dollars world wide. It’s SOOOO important to educate the public that this is a very real possibility and not just some wild horror story that they’ll never experience in their own lives. This is the other important way we can bring change. Criminals hide in the dark! Bring them, those who support them, and the body broker business into full light is the only way we will ever turn the tables on this bullshit! Anyway, thanks for all you do Joe!

He's right about the liver but it doesn't regrow a completely new liver. The circulatory system in a split liver doesn't completely regenerate like new. There is scar tissue too. That's why you can only split a liver once. Both sides of a split liver will grow to fill the space they have (so full size). The liver itself is very fragile and has the feel of jelly.

English is not her first language, she was born & raised in Portugal. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian & English & can speak a little Arabic. She went to college in Portugal & got her Masters in Journalism at Columbia University. She became an American citizen as well. She is fluent in 5 freakin languages, she can say "mhm" & "yea" all she wants. How many languages do you speak fluently other than your native language? How many Masters degrees do you have? She is an intellectual super human & has gone into dangerous situations that most would run away from & used her intellect to survive in those worlds. Yea, mhm, she is one smart & tough babe.
