Different characters have different plunge heights, chixia for example will not work with this trick as her plunge doesn't send her up, someone like jiyan is insane as he gets a lot of height

Did you know if you hold down the echo skill while using the Imperanence Heron Boss Echo, you can fly really high while also shooting out fire from its mouth, you can jump and grapple afterwards too

go even higher if you use the dashing bird echo after you use the hook(Q), which resets the back jump, so you can do it again, then glide

Best Character for this technique is Taoqi, been doing it before seeing this.

Honestly the exploration in this game is so great, I love it.

My brain 🧠 when fight bosses: pressing key 1 2,3,E,Q,R,T, L Mouse, R Mouse,Space, Shift, Hold L Mouse repeat.

Very nice! Oh man, all those people missing the point telling nonsense that it consumes more stamina, it's 'sweaty', etc xD Like, seriously, how is it not obvious it's interesting to explore possibilities of mechanics? No one said you should jump like this all the time. It's helpful to simply better understand jump mechanics in general, you might utilize some elements. There might be situation when whole sequence might be useful to reach some place. But you might do it just for fun. There, hope that helps.

If you add the echo the echo can also reset your jump also if you add jiyan he can reset the plunge attack with his skill

Underrated trick. Switching to a different character at the apex of Lampylumen Myriad's third attack and then doing this combo will give you serious air.

Thanks for sharing this! I found this by myself, Jiyan gets a substantial boost in height becasue his plunge makes him go way higher at the start.

I've been experimenting about the jump mechanic since I got the graple and I've been doing this for 4 days and it is fun to use special when you're bored you can use it to cheese some of the puzzles I Even use that I didn't realize that you were supposed to use the mushroom jumpad

I actually did this randomly while experimenting 😆 I only did plunge cancel once then dash grapple, didn't know we could twice plunge cancel like this so thanks for the tip.

1. Do it a bit slower to get max height out of the plunge and 2. It works better or worse depending on the character. Jiyan and Jianxin seem to be pretty good, while lingyang can't even cancel his plunge attack. Experiment with different characters.

You know the bird echo that makes you dash forward, it also resets your dash

And here i thought i was big brained for figuring this out myself 😔😂

With Jiyan you can use his skill midair too! With the fast cooldown and forward movement, it saves stamina.

Weird, it's an easy thing to find out, I personally found it the first day just messing around Oh and PS: Jiyan seems to have the highest plunge so you can get really high with him.

I really like this extra movement techs. I discovered this tech in the first few days of release and I have been using this with Jinyu to travel across the map easier. (I also use the Hook to have an additional movement then plunge to the nearest enemy instead of dashing. Its not efficient but it looks cool lol)

You can actually go even FURTHER if you equip Cyan feathered herion. So it's the same process but after you grapple hook, use herion dash ability to cover more distance and then Plunge attack> dash> glide. Herion isn't BIS but if I'm echo grinding, I'll equip just to cover distance

This is actually so easy and fun to do lmao, resinless activities

If you push forward instead of letting the thing go back naturally, you can actually reach the limit with just one dash

I remember 1st noticing this with the limited character (the dragon dude idk his name) because his jump attack is pretty high

You can also increase the height if u have dreamless echo or any other echo that can be use mid air. To do it: Jump Plunge Dash Echo Immediately use dash after using echo Plunge Grapple Idk if it actually increases height but ik it will increase the height

If you have a Crownless echo you can reach higher than that. Mid transformation cancell auto dash grapple.

I think Jiyan has the highest Plunge so i think do it with Jiyen will be even higher

Do this with any of the broadblade units or gauntlet characters that aren't lingyang if you want even more height. They pop up higher during their plunge attack

diong that with taoqi you go higher. Her plunge makes her go higher. It's also good to fly over lakes and stuff, but isn't advised if you are going to glide a lot, because it uses a lot of stamina.

add a green garza at the end and u can use a extra attk + dash and if u have garza with the 3 characters u can get to use grapple 1 time more, and get out of stamina XD

Actually this trick is actually good against suspended or highly places sonance casket. And there is alot of them that are not wall runnable or need a giant cliff to get it.... so atleast you get a like and a subscibe from me boi😁

You can add an extra jump if you do another hit after the last dash, cancel the plumb attack before going down with the hook. Jump+hit+dash+hit+hook. Aaand It is technically possible to add a backflip to go even higher

Just a few practices and you develop the muscle memory you can do it all in just a second, at first it's difficult to get the sequence

You can also add some echoes moves into it ^^

If you have jiyan and use his skill after daahing in the air you can dash again

This is actually useful for the challenge to reach highest point but dont allow you to climbing. Wish I know this before I cleared that challenge LoL

Using a resonator with a broadblade will make you go even higher than a resonator with a sword (albeit being a small difference)

i can do this but i do it like rly slowly 😭 it works but like it's too many buttons at once and my brain can't process allat in such a short time

I legit found this combo on day one except I didn’t use an attack in between the jump and dash 😂😂
